Really. So these un-elected (did I vote them in or did you ? No) Europeans are now telling us that the transition period is not set in stone unless it is their way ! Very democratic. Do as I say ! Bollocks.
Never going to happen. You know that, I know that even my dog knows that.
So us that used our democratic right and made a choice are the problem ! Right so what exactly is your solution to us being the problem ? Deport us ? Have us all hung, drawn and quartered ? Make us vote again and again and again until we vote to keep you happy ?
That's why within minutes of you posting your lap dog is there nodding in agreement
You are the one that needs therapy Manchester, and take your nodding dog with you, and hopefully they will be able to install into your brain that WE are leaving the EU, we are leaving the Customs Union, we are leaving the Single Market and that Brexit will have little or no effect on my trip abroad this April. Or next year or the year after that or the year after that. In fact in 15 years time it will have no effect, bit like the predictions you keep airing.
A simple search on Google will tell you that you are 100% wrong about the "unelected" bit. I keep on telling you but it's almost as if you cannot understand the words - or you are ignoring them because you can't face the facts.
We elected them. We elected MEP's. Arch-Brexiteer Nigel Farage is an MEP. MEP stands for Member of the European Parliament. They vote on things.
Compare that to the UK. We elect MPs. However we DO NOT ELECT MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF LORDS yet they have a say over UK policy.
The EU is more democratic than the UK.
Think of the EU as a club, Swampy. If you are a member of a club then you get full access to it's facilities and privileges for a fee. If you choose to stop being a member as we have chosen not to be a member of the EU then all of the clubs privileges and facilities are no longer available to you. It's a simple analogy and deep down you know that it is a correct one.
We are one nation in the EU. The EU consists of 27 other nations. It is absolutely logical that when we leave we leave and we will lose all the good things about the EU.
Why can't you see that? You are in total denial. It's as clear as day.
The more we delve into Brexit and it's consequences, the scarier it becomes. It was already pretty scary but the situation with the border with Ireland, the trade, the movement etc. and the incompetence and naivety of our Brexit negotiators makes it terrifying. it will only get worse and my hope is that we will see that, pop our heads out of the sand in our caves and walk out to see the light.
I still maintain that a lot of Brexiteers used the EU vote as a protest vote against David Cameron's government - or were persuaded by the lies told by the Brexiteer Brigade or simply didn't know the consequences. I am trying to educate them in my own little way so my hope is that I can persuade some of the more moderate Brexiteers that they made a mistake. My hope also is that some Brexiteers realise for themselves that it is a mistake and join the Remainers in trying to get the decision fully reversed. I know several Brexiteers that have changed their minds - and I reckon Remain would win if we had another referendum. I don't know any Remainers who have changed their minds.
The therapy thing is a bit of banter between Pinnacle and I (I do have a sense of humour - you seem to have lost yours with all these insults flying around). It's interesting that your holiday abroad is to Gibraltar, a British stronghold in Spain whose future is uncertain because of Brexit and who overwhelmingly (96%) voted to Remain.
Oh - and you hate "predictions" yet you predict that we will be okay next year, the year after that etc. etc.
How do you know?
And why oh why oh why can't you tell me?
That's all I ask.
Oh and I'm still waiting for you, Cully, too. It's been a week now with no response. Can't say I'm surprised because you rarely post anything of substance.
