Its on that saft rumour site but just because it involves us losing a decent player it will more than likely turn out to be true. Yet when that site links us to a decent player it turns out to be aload of tripe

I'd take 200 grand for him with he appropriate sell on clauses.

I'd take £350k and no sell on because I think he's good but not that good. I'd then like Dean to do the lot on just two or three quality players.

I think 200k is a bout right to be honest (altho i dont think its true).
He's still raw, not sure he has really done anything worth being bought for 200k either, scored that cracker against Udders Felt though.

take it you missed the goal at sheff weds away then, for a debut season he did very well full credit to him, 200k pluss add ons would be a fair deal at this point.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
All fair and well but can someone remind me how much we fleeced watford for deeney. I feel that gamble may value pato a bit more than 200k +add ons. Whilst gamble is about i think we may value our contracted players a little more highly.

"Fleeced"?
After taking time to settle in, Deeney has established himself as a Championship player. I would suggest that his current value is higher than Watford paid for him.

His current value is depreciating whilst he's a guest of Her Majesty.........

Im not saying he didnt have a good season. No one will pay 200k for him though, if they do theyve gone bonkers.

Make or break season, hopefully he will make huge strides and fulfill his potential. Paterson over Grigg any day of the week

Oldham released him because they couldn't afford him, could we?

The moment he's released he's worthless - someone has to pay what they think he's worth, and if what he thinks he's worth is above that then he'll remain unemployed until the two figures converge. Shades of Taundry!

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
Kuqi could probably do a decent job for a year, as Mooney did when we brought him in a few seasons back.
I'm not a huge fan of the transfer merry-go-round we see every season and would prefer a longer-term option, but at least Kuqi's in the right mould.

He played 49 times last season, scoring 16 goals. We'd be mad to look elsewhere if we thought we could get that out of him for a season or two.

Will he be dirt cheap? Probably, at his age yes. So there could be some mileage in this one

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
I wouldn't mind Kuqi on a year deal (at the right price of course!). Definitely would bring the experience and presence up front everyone is saying we need. He seemed to do okay for Oldham last season and when I saw us play there last season he did a good job and annoyed our defence as far as I can remember.

Does he? I've only seen Ben Parker play once and i think that was at Telford so i think we can rule him out!

James Chambers is quality and if he signs will (in my opinion) be one of our main men. He has a few good options now so if he does sign would be a major coup for us.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
Deon Burton has signed for Gillingham, turning down a league one club in the process. Could have been us considering his highly successful loan spell a few years ago.
