Exactly what I was thinking when I saw he was released. He'd probably attract interest from a few top half league one sides at least so could be a battle to get him if we tried it, but as he has played for us this season and, of course, knows our training ground, then that will surely be in our favour.

Wouldnt mind taking a look at Devaney providing we can keep him fit. Was quality on loan last season, but his hamstring record is terrible. Marcus Bean is a good shout and I'll be absolutely amazed if we dont take a look at Ashley Vincent, despite him being eternally average in this division for about the last 10 years.

If he's released, I think he'll go a Division higher. Best hope of getting him is him staying and another loan

Obviously we're clutching at straws here rather than listing actual rumours, but I actually think he might be worth a punt. Isn't necessarily Smith's sort of player as I don't think he works particularly hard for the team, but he looked a real threat when he played against us last season.
