Oh God we had about half a dozen games with Parkin & Jarvis as the dream strike force in 2008-09 .. I don't think either of them even managed a shot off target let alone on .. it's commonly accepted getting Parkin in got Martin Ling the sack that year .. and poor old Jarv has had about 3 extra years as a pro than he probably should have so ..

I feel slightly sick at the thought of that front two...

Bowerman hardly gets any service, Grigg hardly gets any service, Macken hardly gets any service.....with no service they ALL look like scoring far more than Jarvis ever will.

They're good, I grant you, but having done it, I can tell you 20,000km is a long way to go for a game!

And one of their best players now faces a suspension.
With a few of the bottom sides playing eachother at the weekend, a win at Orient would be huge.

Certainly Scunthorpe losing at Bramall Lane was very good news, particularly as they were 0-1 up at half-time. It's been a good week all in all really, because Rochdale and Chesterfield both lost (at home) on Tuesday night :D
Much as I don't like wishing defeat on anybody (except perhaps the Dingles and Sjoke), any assistance to our cause has to be welcomed!! Scunthorpe play Wycombe on Saturday, and Chesterfield entertain Tranmere (who would be right in the relegation mix with a couple of wobbles). Personally I think that our "target" is Exeter City, one point ahead of us having played a game more

I see your point, but to be honest, it's pointless playing guessing games, remember how many times it changed last season? Dagenham looked safe at one point. Just get as many points as we can, and hope it's enough. Think we will need more points than last season.

Two fixtures in London on consecutive Saturdays for me. Last week with 82,000+ at Twickenham, this week with 2 men and a dog at the Matchroom. Should make for an interesting contrast.

Halfway down page 2 and not a ball been kicked
As football teams thrive on confidence an momentum, I'm going for a 2-0 win today. Mackenzie and Nicholls with the goals, 3977 watching.

Now there's a piece of news I've missed...... but surely Duncan Mackenzie is a bit old, even for us to have signed? :D :D
(Not worth starting a separate thread) James Constable sent off after 11 minutes in the Oxford v Swindon early kick-off, for violent conduct.

Same team, lets hope for another good result. I'd have ripped someone's hand off without anaesthetic for 7 points just before the Wycombe game. I seriously thought that it was Smith's last day in the job.

...and within 5 minutes we're back in the relegation zone, as Scunthorpe take the lead against Wycombe
...at the same time, Orient have a man booked, and also make a substitution :o :o
...out of the mire again, as Yeovil go 0-1 down at home to Brentford. Exet City have shown their complete misunderstanding of the situation by taking the lead at home to Stevenage..... Bury 0-3 down to Huddersfield after 29 mins. We are having shots on and off target, many more than Orient, but nothing more to report.

Have to at least get a draw here now in the circumstances.
