Boring, cold night game that ends 1-1 as neither team has any sort of cutting edge to nab the winner.

2-0 TO THE SADDLERS........Exeter, to be played off the park - should be 7-0 were it not for their keeper and the post and bar intervening 8)

Know what you mean.......... but they are a side that dont travel well and a treck up the M6 on a Tuesday night aint gonna appeal.......... lets hope Chambers is back for Tuesday night, without him I would share your concern as we do look to easy to carve open when he is absent. :|

I've always disliked "We should be winning matches like this" predictions, as I feel its disrespectful to the opposition. No team has a divine right to turn over any other in this league, and as we're a bottom half club we certainly don't.

However, this is a Tuesday night home game against a team that is having to travel the entire length of the M5 to play us, that has one point from 6 games away from home (an opening day draw at Stevenage) and are still to score on the road this season. There will quite rightly be an expectation on us to put three points on the board and I think we will, I'll also go for 2-0 with goals from Macken and Nicholls.

If we are to steer clear of relegation then...we really should be winning matches like this.

And some on here say I have a negative attitude!

As long as Deano realises that the Nicholls/Grigg partnership is the damp squib of the Third Division, then we have one of the best chances for three points for many weeks...I hope we take this opportunity with a 3-0 win. Cant see more than 50 or so brave souls making the trip from Exeter for a miserable almost certain defeat in drab Worsull! so it's going to be a gate of around 3,100 if we are lucky....enough to buy a new striker from Shellfield Methodist F.C. to instil the fear of God into Mr Rhodes and his Huddersfield mob on Nov 5th (like hell).

My god, Exeter are absolute rubbish.
Drawn 1 and lost 5, and havent even scored away from home yet!
Jesus, even Dean Smith cannot manage to lose this one.
Can he?

Ha ha ha... don't be silly. He'll come on all knowledgable after though, happy if they've done badly. FACT. A Walsall win would really ruin his weekend after his team lost to QPR.

My prediction... 1-0 win, goal in the 25th minute with backs to the wall defending for the next 65.

Walsall 4 - 1 Exeter

Exeter to have a man sent off after ten minutes for a cynical tackle on Macken. Walsall to then push forward smelling blood and score 3 in 20 minutes to stun Exeter. Goals from Grigg, Macken and Smith to take the saddlers into half time 2 nil up. Second half to be a more quiet affair with Exeter scoring with a 25 yard thunderbolt before late on Paterson to be rewarded with a busy display with a cool finish after rounding their keeper.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, victory.

Let's not beat around the bush here - nothing but a win tomorrow night will do.

I'd take a 1-0, but would love to see us go right at them from the start and win by two or three. We might need that extra confidence going into Saturday's game, which will probably be a lot tougher.

I agree.

Whilst I understand the 'we have no rights to expect to beat anyone' arguments, it's not asking too much for a club looking to finish mid-table (ish) to expect to beat one of the poorer teams at home.

I always stick to the Tippex up until at least Tuesday lunchtime. The glue can wait to get me through the rest of the week.

He was, erm, born in West London, remember? So he probably stayed in the family mansion just off the Kings Road.
