Brentford (H) League 1 Tuesday 12/4/11.
The first of three home that will go along way to tell us our league status next season , unlike so many of my fellow Saddlers I'm not ready to throw the towel in .
Four of our remaining six fixtures are on home soil , draws are no longer good enough more so when you consider this is our game in hand over both Bristol Rovers and Swindon and rivals Notts County face a trip to almost save Yeovil and Dagenham visiting championship bound Brighton this very evening .
We welcome Brentrord who having nothing to play for and hopefully will have their minds set on the fast approaching summer holiday .
Our visitors form guide last six games,
Huddersfield -home - lost 0-1
Leyton Orient -home - won 2-1
Carlisle - home - won 2-1
Sheff Wed - away - won 3-1
Carlisle - Wembley - lost 0-1 JPT Final
Swindon - home - lost 0-1
Brentford sit 11th in the table on 55 points from 40 played
Full away record
won 7 - drew 3 - lost 9 - goals for 23 - against 26,
Prediction
2-0 Home win

A scrappy 1-0 home win, Richards on target.
Would be nice to get a half decent attendance for another important must win game, but it'll be the usual 3,571 odd with 195 Bees.
Tuesady?

We'll win, because we're relegated if we dont. 1-0 with jimmy coming up for the corner in injury time.

We did actually beat Brentford 7-0 in the 50's.
A 2-1 win, with Ledesma getting the winner [after coming off the bench as the impact player that he really is].
The attendance will be around 3,000. I can't see it being anymore than that.

Indeed we did - that same season we beat Millwall 7-1, and Southport 8-0..... the days when we scored for fun!!
Incidentally, the "Sports Argus" (pink) banner headline the day of the Brentford game, was "THE WALSALL CONCERTO" :D
This Tuesday I will be more than happy with a 1-0 win, from a free kick (Richards) which hits the net courtesy of a massive deflection

Squeaky bum time folks.
Apart from Brighton and Southampton, all our games could go either way and I think after Brighton on Saturday we will more or less be down because I fear we will lose tomorrow and Saturday

2 - 1 to Brentford, at odds of 10/1, looks good value *.
Westlake looking like a drunken bum - attempting to contain Myles Weston.
( The thought of it, makes me cringe )
Alternatively, 2 - 1 to Walsall, at 9/1, also looks good.
Might go both ways, with odds approaching 9/2.
* Not to be read, until 7. 15 pm.

hope we play 4-4-2, must be looking for minimum of 7 points from next 3 games, and that may well not be enough

Judging by the speed at which I've just heard Manny Smith left the ground & sped off in his car, I'm guessing he's not playing tonight.

Hopefully it was Byfield. He's probably forgot his phone.

Re: Brentford (H) League 1 Tuesday 12/4/11.
all change tonight!
out go Smith (completely) ; Westlake, Gbarrsin , Ledesma (benched)
in come Taundry (right back/ holding mid ?) , Clayton, Cook , Macken
No clue what the formation is -
is it 3 at the back Clayton, Butler, Williams?
plenty of attacking players with Cook, Macken, Byfield, Gray all starting
does smack a bit of shuffle the pack and hope 4 the best .
if it works, who cares

Seems to be a high count in fouls, getting on for one every two minutes played.
