Dare we dream of two wins in a row? I think it could be a realy possibility. However, I think it'll be a tough game with both teams being up for it. 1-1, 387 Saddlers all in fine voice!

Swindon 2-3 Walsall.
Thriller ending with a last gasp winner by Ledesma with an overhead kick.

Hoping to be there, and hoping for a win. We have nothing to fear, and that is the great benefit of last night's win. Our next three away games are mossive...

I agree, w_s. 1-1 it is, and around 350-400 Saddlers at The County Ground.

Re: Swindon Town (A) League 1 Saturday 5/3/11.
I watched Southampton vs Swindon on saturday before Walsall played Southampton (if I could manage to get to the Swindon game it'll be 3 games 3 teams!). Southampton played exactly the same as how they played against us, powerful, aggressive, fast and formulated football and Swindon couldn't stop them. The fact that they drew level is only because Southampton thought they had won it at 1 - 0 and stopped playing.
Swindon looked quite a small side and couldn't deal with set plays at all well, they held the ball up reasonably well in midfield and made some nice runs down both wings only to fall fowl of a lack of competence upfront, their defence looked messy, very messy. However against Southampton who wouldn't (Southampton are a seriously terrific side, I was nervous before Tuesday night).
I think the combination of Ledesma and Macken could cause them all sorts of problems, their goalkeeper has serious positioning issues and doesn't look all that confident - if we attack with the confidence in which we attacked at the begining of the second half against So'ton then I can see us getting all three points. I don't think it's game over if we don't win, I think we can beat anyone in this league on our day (and perhaps with a bit of luck).
Prediction - Hearts says 1 - 3 Ledesma, Richards, Gray. Head says 1 - 1 Lesdesma
*Grella scores for Swindon
(nice to see Byfield come off the bench and get a few though!!! :D!)

I'll be there hoping for a victory, but I'd happily take a point to keep some distance. We basically can't lose. They've got buy one get one free and bring a season ticket holder free so there expecting 10,000. I'd be disgraced if we can't muster 500.

alas im working so can't make it but in response to the home free ticket offer its not just season ticket holders , anyone who buys a ticket can get one free for the same section. Now the question is will this offer be available to away tickets ??? just a thought .

This was discussed in the Wilson Walks thread:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36858
The promotion is not available to away fans. Apparently clubs are allowed up to 3 promotions per season that are exclusively for home fans.

Thanks, folks.
Another question: I'm sure I read somewhere on UTS (but can't find where) that there is a bar or something inside the ground where away fans are welcome. Anyone know anything about this - or have I imagined it?
Thanks

Imagine that - I found something for the internets called a "search engine", and I used the magic words 'football ground guide swindon drink', and look what happened:

Swindon 2-2 Walsall
Bangor Cymru Saddler to provide the half time entertainment by setting fire to his prototype 9 string guitar in the centre circle, after failing to reproduce the chord sequence for Star Spangled Banner whilst simultaneously depressing his new wah-wah and sustain pedals. Nobody notices as to them it sounds like Summer Holiday.

Lescott Lancashire Butler Williams
Taundry Richards Gbarssin Gray
Macken Ledesma
No real surprise - Gbarssin in for Marshall, otherwise unchanged.
