Re: Peterborough United (A) League 1 Monday 3/1/11.
team - Brain; Westlake, Butler, Lancashire, Lescott; Jones, Marshall, Richards, Gray; Nicholls, Reid. subs McDonald, Smith, Macken, Paterson, Grigg, McGivern, Bevan
McGivern rightly dropped, Lescott in as left back. Marshall in at centre-midfield - how come Hutchings couldn't see that needed doing after 15 mins on Saturday??
Nicholls very lucky to still have a starting place.

Team:
Brain (oh dear)
Westlake
Lancashire
Butler
Lescott
Richards
Marshall
Gray
Jones
Nicholls
Reid
Subs: Bevan McDonald McGivern Smith Macken Paterson Grigg
With that turnout I can't see anything other than a 3-0 defeat (at best) for us. :?

Looks like Hutchings has realised his mistake and will revert Lescott to left full back from midfield (even though he is cack there aswell).
There was a hint on the OS that Taundry might be fit, but no sign.

This team selection is beyond belief - how he can pick Nicholls after his non performance on Saturday is amazing. If he is not going to play Macken alongside Reid then the choice should be Grigg, and not a player who has scored 13 goals in over 140 appearances. Some Managers get sacked because the players let them down, others because they make poor selections and tactically are inept. We will get relegated because we have both scenarios. I hope at 5pm I am made to eat humble pie, but not holding my breath!!

A sign of a manager who has lost the plot - he doesnt have any idea what his best XI is.
Come on Chris? Whats our best XI? Does it include Paul Marshall or Aaron Lescott in midfield? Does McGivern get the nod at left back? Who's our best two strikers?
What a muppet.

Team selection shows he hasn't got a clue. Nicholls to start again? Don't be ridiculous.

If either of the two strikers who started on Saturday should have retained their place it was Grigg. I watched the 'highlights' again this morning on the BBC sport website and the glaring miss from Nicholls was an absolute shocker. Reid and Nicholls together?? Both a bit down the pacy striker road for me. If you wanted to bring Reid in, then surely you'd play Grigg, if not Macken, before you'd put Nicholls there.
Oh well, they'll both probably go and get a brace each now!!

laughing stock, Grigg gets fudge off and Nicholls is still in the first team? Shouldn't it be the other way round? I wouldn't even get off my seat if he was one on one with the keeper, because 99% of the time he'd miss!
Bevan is wasting his time here aswell, good luck Brain.
