2 or 3 saves from Wacka have kept us in it so far. The one a minute ago was superb.

BONSER OUT!!!!!!!
cannot disagree with your sentiment or logic, but getting rid of dawgface could limit the damage.
I agree with you - I just hate to think of the sense of relief when he goes - only to realise a week or two later that we are in as much trouble as before. Let's face it if JB was looking to change anything he would have gone already! A good run in the cup would make a difference to this season - maybe the reason CH hasn't been sacked!!!!!

1-1 FT
Happy with the result given the sending off, the fact that they missed a penalty and JW was MOM.
Unfortunately we will be at HOME for the replay

Fleetwood Town (A) F A Cup 1st round Saturday 6/11/10.
The replay will be a welcome boost to the coffers and will allow Hutch to bring in the players we so desperately need on loan - two more lumpen centre forwards and another goalkeeper.

Re: Fleetwood Town (A) F A Cup 1st round Saturday 6/11/10.
For me, that's a decent result taking into account.
1) We're cack
2) Our manager is a muppett
3) Our form is dire
4) Their form is half decent
5) We played with 10 men for 50-odd minutes
6) They equalised and 'sounded' the better side for the 2nd half
7) If we now lose at home, then surely Hutch must get the sack for losing at home to a Conf Side.
8) It could well be on TV, so if Hutch gets the chop the next morning, the new manager might have some cash from tv to spend.

They won 11-2 for attempts on goal! :?
We won 13-4 on fouls committed! :?
Sounds like we played great football then. :?

Embarassing, we sounded like we we're on the back foot most of the 2nd half and obviously they missed a penalty! sack this clown now.

so do you reckon deputy dawg will have us passing our way out of the 4th division.
"battling display" "proud of the lads" any other bs to follow in a few minutes from his snout? God, even listening to him makes me feel sick

So, some folk on Facebook talking about a cat fight in the Walsall end... Any news on that?
More interesting to talk about that than the footy in all fairness.

if you was the chairman you would sack him after this game so the new manager could probably bring a fresh feeling to the club and it would probably get us through this replay but with hutch in charge i just cant see us beating anyone

I can't listen to him or read his interviews anymore. The same old repeated pathetic excuses really get my goat.
IF ANYONE AT THE CLUB ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT OUR FUTURE SACK HIM TONIGHT.

So it's kicking off in the Walsall end..
Shame it doesnt kick off between Bonser & Hutch. Our fans just need to all remember, we all want the same thing.. We dont expect to be world beaters, but we do expect passion, ambition and the players wanting to win (and Hutch to go).
Keep the faith Saddlers.

We were a disgrace this afternoon, no fight no spirit no interest - and why do our supporters boo Hutch yet cheer Martin O'Connor they are both equally to blame for this pathetic mess.
They both have to go
PS If not for Jimmy Walker we would undoubtedly have been well and truly beaten - embarrassing!

Just on way back and I agree that jimmy kept us well in the match he was superb back too his best I think that we should all boycott the replay and get this manager out.we have the power to do rhis and come together unite. Lets embarrass the club with a record low crowd like they whats us every week. we want our walsall back abd if boycotting one match helps change things at this club then I'm all for it. up the saddlers.

Re: Fleetwood Town (A) F A Cup 1st round Saturday 6/11/10.
Good noisy following from us on a small covered terrace, some good old schools songs and if Hutch didn't know the strength of feeling against him beforehand, I think he might have the message now. Particularly enjoyed the "who let the dog out" song accompanied with barking- good stuff.
The football, well clubs two divisions apart but two teams about on a par. Says some good stuff about them and some bad stuff about us. We could well be back at Highbury next season.
Ref gave them every chance. The penalty and sending-off both could have gone either way but he seemed keen to always adjudicate in their favour.
Nine out of our ten outfield players couldn't have tried harder and genuinely put in a shift - the exception being Dickinson - who isn't the real deal and should be sent back to Barnsley immediately.
Westlake my outfield motm - every blade and no little skill.
Overall though, Jimmy has kept us in the cup - no doubt about it , a vintage display.

Re: Fleetwood Town (A) F A Cup 1st round Saturday 6/11/10.
we were awful, despite the obvious advantage of getting a man sent off
Walker and Westlake were superb. The rest weren't. We didn't get out of our own half in the last 45 minutes, without Jimmy it would have been a cricket score. Dickinson has got to be one of the worst players I have seen in a Walsall shirt for many a year. We were non existant going forward again.
Shed loads of abuse for Hutchings and Walsall fans fighting each other in the away end. Happy days on the good ship Walsall, we are a club transformed

Re: Fleetwood Town (A) F A Cup 1st round Saturday 6/11/10.
Just got back.....what a load of rubbish!
I thought that after we scored on 6 minutes we would have gone on and got a few more, but we didnt! We couldnt string 3 passes together and everytime we got the ball we wasted it! Even with 10 men i would have expected us to do better than this (after all, getting someone sent off gives you a 'boost'). Walker was superb though, made a few good saves, and Westlake was comfortable going foward in the second half. APart from that, the team was pretty poor.
I dont think their keeper had to make a save in the second half, which is a disgrace consideing we put out our first team playing against a team who are two leagues below us. I know that you can say their players were up for it/its their cup final, but if you didnt know the teams, you wouldnt think they were 2 leagues apart, their players were just as good (?) as ours!
Walker - made important saves. My Man of the match.
Westlake - one of the only players who stood out for me. Looked good going foward towards the end. hope he's not dropped for the next game.
McDonald - Useless. You'd think with his height he's be able to win a few headers wouldnt you?
Smith - Same as McDonald - wasnt committed enough.
McGivern - Wasnt on long enough to make an impression, silly tackle though.
Jones - didnt do much in the first half
Taundry - Wasnt too bad, gave the ball away quite a lot though.
RIchards - good goal, nothing else
Devaney - poor
Macken - didnt do much, held the ball up well in the first 20 minutes or so, nothing else from him. seemed to go into central midfield when Reid came on and after the red card.
Dickinson - appaling. didnt win a header all afternoon (and he's not small). ran around like a headless chicken doing nothing at all. Waste of money paying some of his wages, whats wrong with giving Grigg or Nicholls games for a month instead of getting him.
Lescott - he's surely not a pro footballer.....bring back Sansara! enough said
Reid - looked ok, but wasnt on long enough to make a real impact
Lancashire - did nothing wrong. not sure why he had to come on, Mcdonald didnt seem injured
Hutchings - Sat down all game, waved (but got booed for it :D ), poor tactics really. I can understand him bringing lescott on at HT, but Mcdonald didnt seem injured....but if i was him i'd have taken off Dickinson rather than Jones at half time(much rather have an attacking midfielder who can play on the wing or upfront, than just two strikers), and then used Grigg or NIcholls later with Reid aswell, but then again, im not the manager and never will be. If he doesnt go after this weekend then Jeffrey may as well just declare his love for him in public! Hutchings Out!
PS. Well done to all the fans who were there aswell, large and loud away following. At least we turned up... UTS
Also, there was 2,300 there today....we get barely a 1000 more than that

"Hard fought cup tie"
"the boys displayed effort, determination and desire, we dug deep"
Im not saying the players didnt put effort in, but we didnt display desire and determination.
"We had a bit of luck, which you need in the cup" - theres a first in a CH interview.
I wonder if every monday morning Hutchings recieves a phone call from a certain someone if Cyprus, and tells him this rubbish. If JB doesnt go to games, he must rely on these match summaries if he's not sacked him yet! fools!

That was poor!!! Dickenson is absolutley shocking!
They could of won it after their goal which was a stunner! Walker kept us in the game!
Couple of mentions:
Hutchings waved at us and then got slated haha, he realised it was a pee take and didn't even look over for the rest of the game!
Another mention to the very vocal away following!
and my last mention goes to the guy who decided to square up to a fan in the middle of the away end and near enough start a fight because people didn't take kindly to him shouting get behind the team you're a bunch of see you next Tuesdays.
