Tranmere Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 23/10/10.
Is it too early to talk about relegation , or think about 6 pointer games I'll let you decide .
Once again we find ourselves in the drop zone for the visit of bottom of the league Tranmere ,
At look at Rovers recent form last 6 league encounters .
Charlton - home - drew 1-1
Colchester - away - lost 1-3
Bristol Rovers- away - won 1-0
Brighton - home - drew 1-1
Southampton - away - lost 0-2
Brentford - home - lost 0-3
Full away record
won 1 -drew 2-lost 3 - 5 goals scored 10 conceded
We sit 1 point 2 places above our visitors for what surely is another must win game.
Prediction 2-1 home win

Been on a couple of tranmere sites and their tale of woe seems to be very similar to our own - talk of declines, soul-less football, awful manager and no midfield. So a 90-minute aerial feast it will be, and the score will depend on which forward gets a lucky touch.
0-2 to them, then.

I think we will win this one (just) If we don't then there is no excuses. We seem to have played the majority of the bottom half of the table now, and we are still in the relegation zone. Yes of course we can mention the R word, because it is a real possibility.
Still lets stick with the manager because we can't get anyone any better (puke)
Come on you Saddlers.

Re: Tranmere Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 23/10/10.
We've got to win this and win well. A decent home performance is needed to lift everyone. Tranmere are really struggling, so If we can not get a win after gaining a bit of confidence in our last few games then Chris H needs to leave.
Am hoping for a 3 nil win.
Reid, Jones and Macken to score.

In-depth preview from one of the unofficial Trannies sites:

Shame they can't spell the name our manager, or the stadium, or even get the new name of the stadium right. Hopefully this slack approach to football stretches to their manager and team too. :D

German striker Schadenfreude with all five for them, and a stroke of undeserved good fortune for our goal presumably?

Old man said said the same as Saddlers World Commentary.
Two poor sides, neither looking capable of creating anything at all. Game came from a potential error / foul, Brain came out 15/16 yards to punch a long ball apparently, came together with Showumni, punch went straight to their bloke 35 yards out who lobbed it straight back in. SaddlersWorld felt there was no foul, my old man thought it was 50/50.
However, both reckon that Devaney was lucky to get away with a red card for a studs up challenge at 0-0.

Re: Tranmere Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 23/10/10.
I had enough weeks a while back if you read posts.
0-2 now, Davies attempts a pass back, passes it straight to Showumni. Davies then falls flat on his face trying to recover.
My old man said, "difficult to blame Hutchings directly as both were diabolical goals down to individuals."

1-2, Jon Macken.
