Brentford (A) League 1 Saturday 14/8/10.
We travel to the capital for our first away game in what I fear we be a long hard season ,
The Bees began the season with a with a 2-0 defeat at Carlisle , but made progress in the Carling cup beating Cheltenham at home 2-1.
Our hosts finshed 9th in the table last term with a home record of
9 wins -12 draws - 2 defeats 34 goals scored 21 against .
Prediction We'll have to see a big improvement to get anything from this one , hopefully we will
1-1 Jones on target.

 2 defeats?!
I'm going for a 2-0 defeat.
Richard Taundry to score 2 own goals but the odd few still to say he's the best player in the world, ever.

1-1, us to concede from a set piece and Byfield to equalise. 234 Saddlers to make the trip. Hutchings to make his first sub in the 82nd minute.

We need to get points on the board. I think it will be a draw.

I am more excited about the prospect of mending my shed roof on Saturday.

Brentford Nylons 3-0 Walsall don't look like scoring this year
Tinned to tape a "kick me" sign on Hutchings' back. Nobody can be bothered to carry out the instruction.

Absolute, stone wall certain, home banker. Brentford is still a decent away day for those who are going though.

Brentford (A) League 1 Saturday 14/8/10.
I actually thought about attending this game (for a full second!) and then I remembered it's Brentford.
You feel great pre-match, in one if the cosy little pubs next to the ground enjoying a few pints, exited about the game, and then you come out wishing you hadn't bothered.
I don't think I have ever seen us win there?

Good preview, Neil. They have an embarrassment of riches up front...very disappointed that we haven't brought anyone in this week.

A shock 0-2 to the saddlers. Grigg to score his first senior goal and a Matt Richards 25 yard free kick straight into the top left corner. :D

The best we will get from this game is 0-0 or 1-1 but Brentford 2-0 Walsall is more likely!

That's the team I'd play. Still not convinced about Brain, but not seen much of Bevan to appreciate if he's a genuine contender.
Time to stop the rot: a sneaky 1-0 smash-and-grab affair, with McGivern getting lucky from a corner.
227 hardy souls making the journey in Walsall colours.

In pre season Hutchings implied after our string of defeats, that playing class sides and losing was good and would
stand us in good stead when playing at our own level. What happened Chris.
Are we now going to get "They will be there or thereabouts" after every pathetic defeat.

4-4-2, we are not strong enough in the middle for this formation!

A big statement for Hutchings to make to go out 4-4-2 away from home after two defeats.
