A tense 1-0 victory with Rooney netting late on.

Scrappy 1-1 draw to start with. First games are usually drab. I'd prefer it if we didn't go steaming in anyway, teams that go a long way usually grow as the tournament progresses.

2-1 England.
The referee/assistants are Brazilian, and apparently they've been learning English swear words so the players can't get away with abuse! :D

Dire 2-1 win, owing more to luck and inexperience than judgement. Latent STD to kick in around 78 minutes.

When reffing I always come down on 'em like a ton of bricks for swearing, specially when on 'Parks' pitches..
"Come on Ref it's all a part of everyday life" "Not at my friggin matches it aint!" "name?" "Mickey Friggin Mouse"
great thinks I, that'll be another £25 up your shirt for giving the Ref a false name! God I love the power!!!!!
w****r

2-0. I'm usually not over bothered about England results but, as we are playing The Great Satan, I genuinely hope we stuff 'em :D

1-1 Crouch, press reaction to be hysterical.
Some journalist to set himself alight in a sacrifice to Darren Bent.
Stock markets plummet.
Cameron's missus to get her kit off again in a bid to boost national morale.
England finish with 7/9 from the group.
Everyone forgets what all the fuss is about.
Federer to win Wimbledon men's final against Penis Williams.
He then thanks Rooney for all the practice at table tennis, saying he's much better than Joe Broad.

Crouch hatrick, followed by rumours at Real Madrid that Perez sees Crouch as a vital component of the new galacticos era..

This will be one of the lesser technically gifted games, for sure.
A 1-1 draw, and things will get better after that - hopefully.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!
England will win in a canter against USA.
By at least 2 or 3 goals.

Maybe the people you're speaking to aren't asleep. Maybe they're just realistic. Following the World Cup Draw you stated that you were not the least bit worried about the USA. I spent 30 seconds searching for that post, which is my limit, and couldn't find it. But I should have known there would be more current material from you.
