That time of year - this is the one and only place to post about potential signings, people you've heard are interested, people you'd like to sign and speculation in all it's forms.

On another forum a Shrew mentioned that we were showing interest in Sloppies forward Hibbert.
Darren Moore has signed for Burton as well.

Given that our midfield has departed, can I start the annual Player X rumour?

Re: Summer 2010 - official transfer rumours thread
These are not rumours just realistic players who I think would add to our squad:
Criag Westcarr - Pacey winger available on a Bosman free transfer although he has been offered a new contract by Notts County.
Frank Simek - A real quality player released by Sheffield Wednesday. Whether he would join us and whether we could afford him is another matter.
David Raven - Right back and former Liverpool junior, also a friend of Mark Hughes recently released by Carlisle United. A cheaper more realistic option to Simek.
Matthew Glennon - Experienced keeper who would provide competition and support to Gilmartin recently released by Bradford City.
Chris Herd - Young dynamic and energetic central midfielder. Possibly on a season long long?
Andreas Weiman - Prolific young striker currently progressing very well in Villa's reserve side. Possible season long loan?
....while hoping to sign Gray, Taundry, Gilmartin, Hughes, Nicholls, Westlake, Vincent and Grigg on new contracts.
Incidentally I was told on Friday that Dean Keates wouldn't be offered a new deal at Wycombe Wanderers.

says we're linked with this guy,the fact he still has a year left on his contract suggests a fee would be involved so i think we can rule this one out

Gary Teale......with Hutch at Wigan and Derby and recently released. He's 31 so dropping down a division is probably something he would consider.

Kris Taylor, and Dan Fox, both ex Premier league youth players, who's careers have taken different paths.
Relating to this player, another ex Premier league youth, a metaphor for ‘Is he pap?’ :D

Re: Summer 2010 - official transfer rumours thread
A player I would like would be Adebayo Akinfenwa at Northampton think he is out of contact unless he has now signed a new one. Always rated him, tho it is fair to say he has his fai share of injury problems.

Sean Thornton from Leyton Orient is being released.
I think he'll be perfect in the middle, will add abit of creativity.
