What an incentive to win this game after tonights result. With the 2 teams directly above facing tough away games (Bristol Rovers at Colchester and Huddersfield at Leeds), a win would surely move us into the top 6. A 3-2 win to the saddlers I reckon.

Saddlers 7-0 Southampton, who totally underestimate the resilience of the Saddlers and base their game plan on two 60-minute Walsall substitutions. the panic that ensues when these aren't made leads to a goal spree of 7 in 20 minutes, before the substitution of Parkin for Byfield puts an end to Walsall's dominance.

Re: Southampton (H) League 1 Saturday 5/12/09.
Such is the interest in this game within the Cully family massive that our cunning plan to share 3 season tickets between 4 will mean an extra £5 for Bonsers Wallet using the 'Friend for a Fiver' voucher in the back of the season ticket book. I am, however, a little anxious reading Roys rules which state that it must be a specified league 1 game and is subject to availability. If I just turn up on the day will I be able to use it or will there be some onerous rule that meant I should have given 30 days notice in triplicate?
If anybody got bored reading that, here is a precis.
Can I use the Friend for a Fiver voucher for this game?

Doubt it, more demand for tickets for this titanic clash than for the Stourbridge match , but pay £30 towards the running of UTS and I'll get you a ticket guaranteed

Byfield and Parkin.
Cashback.
Me and my brother to come as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee to the amusement of 13 people who just think we're jolly fat men. The other 4391 to throw things at us.

A tight 0 - 0
5786 crowd, with 2000 from the UK's second biggest port.
Yoda to reveal himself on the pitch at halftime as a secret millionare ready to buy the club. As Big Baz carries out the table to the centre circle for the public deal signing ceremony, Yoda gets frightened and leaves by jet pack.

Tough game. Lambert and Lallana will be very dangerous.
Sod it, we're seventh for a reason, Hutching's should tell the players not let Southampton dictate their game on us. get stuck into them right from the first whistle and pressure them.

That reason being our aptitude for picking up points against teams from the bottom half of the league (only Leeds have a better record in this respect) and our relatively poor record against sides from the top half (only Stockport, Tranmere and Brighton are worse).
Saturday's game will be a really interesting barometer for where we actually are as a team.
2-2.

2-1 win, apart from 70 minutes at Brentford last week, I'm really enjoying our stuff at the moment.

2-1 win. Two top ten teams in reality, and it is about time we proved ourselves by beating those similar teams to us with regularity. I don't think we'll lose this one though.

This should be a good test and with confidence high and the look of a team playing for each other and their manager(s), it is a game that I believe that we can win.
Having written that, I will go for one each apiece with Six Thousand and Twenty Four Only in attendance.

Cully, I'll be trying to do the same with a lad attending his first ever Super Saddlers game.
It will either be £5, £8 ( accompanying a "family ticket" - hopefully this includes a family season ticket ) or, failing that, £14.
Nice to have a range of options......

Im about to head out in about 15 minutes
looking forward to it this could be a real test and see how we can do against the top in form teams ( if you minus the points deduction they would be right by us)
Ill be happy with a point but the greed in me hopes for a win
walsall 2- southampton-2
