What are conditions like down there ? It was unbelievably wet here yesterday and overnight, and indications were that the same stuff was headed inland from here to the Midlands. Made me think the game might be off, but happily not, though the high winds and (presumably) heavy rain would have made conditions quite difficult to play decent football.

4,143. No confirmation of away support as yet, but Stockport tend to have a decent away following. Must have been 3,500 Saddlers though.

Good performance, wasn't great and was at times wayward but good overall.

Mark Bradley was superb, made a lot of great challenges and did the simple thing well. He made a superb tackle which lead to our second goal. Well done Mark - brilliant today.

I would have said they had more of the possession, but those stats a little bit over the top.

We were poor for large periods but had the class when it told. If they had a decent striker however, it might have been a different story, the majority of their attacks came down out left, which is no real surprise.

Byfield was the difference today, and Braldye backed him up with what could have been his best performance since Money was manager here - he was that good today. I just hope he continues this form.

Looking at the bbc site the stats are the same with 5 shots each on target walsall 6 off target to stockports 8 they had one more corner and the only thing that walsall won other than the game was foul's

Not one person around me thought it was a good challenge. If the ref pulled out a yellow card I probably wouldnt of complained. He was nowhere near the ball and completely took the man
