3-2 to Rushall - not as close as the score suggests.
First half played during the Rushall monsoon season with the home side 3-0 ahead by half-time. Many changes during the second half with the Rushall coaching and management staff deciding to give themselves a run-out in Richard Brown's testimonial (you could hear the creaking joints from outside the ground! ). The Walsall youngsters stuck to their task and pulled goals back in the first and last minutes of the second half.
Walsall
Tim Cooney, Rory Wood, Lewis Keenan, Josh O'Keefe, Alex Hickman, Dan Partridge (Capt.), Tom Overfield, Sam Adkins, George Bowerman, Jamie Paterson, Jordan McCourt. Subs: Aaron Forde, John Haynes, Jack Cresswell, Jake Jones, Connor Deards, Joe Butlin, Tom Faulkner.
Just two who have appeared in Walsall's first team colours, O'Keefe and Adkins. Both showed a lot of skill but both may have problems coming to terms with the physical side of the game in League One.
Good to see Pedro, Jorge14, bangsection, a.j. & Evo (eventually), Cannock Saddler and others there among other from the UTS contingent.

A month ago we were worried about scraping together a starting XI, now we've got spares for the kids.
