Im surprised that there were only a couple of trialists, Vincent and Till. I heard that there were quite a few africans on trial???
Decent start.

ROBERTS CAME ON!!!
Yep, just had a text off my mate that went and said exactly the same thing.
Also Till is utter rubbish.
Vincent was a good player for us last time round. Assuming that he hasn't lost too much since then he'd be a decent signing. He is 34 though.

I like the look of that back 4. Would be okay for league 1. Despite his age, Vincent would be a good signing IMO.

I agree, he'd be solid at least.
Glad to see someone like Davies got a run out,

I know this comment is in jest, but I hope no one jumps on their backs too soon (assuming that we signed Till) Its only the first game of pre season and things need to gel a bit more
Stop Moaning and get behind the lads :D :D :D :D
This last comment is slightly tongue in cheek by the way, but still at least give em a chance

Young enough for the one-year contract he'd be offered.
Sign him up.

The same one, we had him on loan at the same time we had Chris Baird too.

I'm surprised at the comment that "Mattis is playing well", as he doesn't appear on the teamsheet quoted above. Can we assume that virtually a different team took the field for the second half?
I'll definitely be going to Hereford, if only to see the performance of our surprisingly good signings - as always just before the start of the season I have total (and probably unjustified) optimism......

Sorry about that - I took the foot of page 1 to be the whole thread, not checking for a page 2  - yes, lots of substitutions at half-time. Ignore above post, except for the bit about Hereford!!!

Any news as to why Steve Jones and Josh Craddock did not take part? I assume that they must be injured.

Pretty drab first half. Better second half with Nicholl's and Deeney on. Clayton Ince, oh lordy.
Pretty good following from Walsall , more than I expected. Best bit of the day was talking to the steward who was a Sheffield Wednesday fan. If only all stewards were like him the world would be a better place.

What did folks think of Westlake, Grigg and Adkins?
potential on these lads?
Good start for Davies, we need him to come through like Bradley 0708 season.

I have got to be honest, I was unsure who some of the players were. (Terrible fan mode) Someone told me that number 22 in the first half was Grigg , to be honest he was awful, and didn't look interested. That is just an opinion on one half of football though, not writing him off for ever, before someone says it.

Ta, interesting to see if they'll break through then this year. I'm hoping Davies will have an impact.
