Carlisle United (A) League 1 RESCHEDULED Tuesday 10/2/09 .
We begin the new year with the long to trip to Cumbria to face Carisle United , many pundits favourites for automatic promotion . A run of 12 games without a win including a 2-1 defeat at the Banks's Stadium put pay the that .
New manager Greg Abbott has done little to improve things the Cumbrians are 17th in league 1 , 25 points from 23 games.
Form Guide Carlisle's last 6 league games.
Millwall - away - lost 0-1
Swindon - away - drew 1-1
Leicester - home - lost 1-2
Northampton - away - 0-1
Huddersfield - home - won 3-0
Oldham - away - drew 0-0
Full Home Record P11 -W6-D1-L4 .....22 goals for - 15 against.
Prediction Goalless Draw.

Christ knows.
1-1 Draw? We lead 1-0 until the scores are being read out on FiveLive. Carlisle admit to 'leaving it a bit late to turn territorial advantage into a goal', Mullen laments lack of concentration from his players whilst getting changed in the dressing room.
212 saddlers goo 'om.

0-0 bore draw played in a freezing gale.

1-0 defeat in the 95th minute of the game. Mullen to blame Evo for everything including the economical down turn so he cannot resign and go and sell second hand motors.

Think we could steal a draw 1 - 1.

How are we gonna get 3pts if we lose 2-1 with Ant scoring for us :?

We concede two second half goals in an ignominious 2-0 defeat.

2-0 defeat. Hard to see where a goal is coming from with the current away day tactics, particularly without Ricketts

2-0 loss.
Carlisle to score early on, Muddle as usual does nothing to change the game, we hold on to the last minute when they get a second.
Tinned to stay behind at the end of the match to shake hands with Muddle and wish him a Happy New Year

These "homourous" predictions are getting beyond a joke now. Doffer pan frying his missus's knickers - possibly. Me shaking the hand of old man Muddle, not a chance.
Anyway, he'd have to have bloody long arms as there's no way I'm wasting 50 quid and precious breathing time going all that way to watch Muddle's Circus.

To be honest it`s a good job we`re not in Carlisles position or we`d have to hide the rope to stop some of you from hanging yourselves 2-1 to Walsall with a 95min own goal. :) :)

Will be off due to frozen pitch, thus granting Muddle a reprieve.

2-1 defeat, late winner from Carlisle after we've come back with a Gerrard header from an early Carlisle opener.
Or more likely it will be frosty so we'll have a postponement and a rare "undefeat".

1-1 Draw, Jabo to score for us, before Kavanagh scores a 96th minute equaliser

Pitch inspection at 1pm tomorrow (with temperatures as low as -7 tonight) suggests there may be little point travelling from anywhere outside Cumbria/Lancashire/The North East.

Shame because I was going to go, but even from York it looks a fools errand.
If the game does go ahead I predict the lowest ever post-war away attendance for a Walsall league match. 28?

Pretty mild up here in Lancs so signs are promising that match could be on. Seems like a nice day for a 3-0 defeat :D
