yea ricketts and jabo are expected to start after coming back from injury today and i see in the sun that Huddersfield have 4 of their quality players out . Joe Skarz been the notable one and also Andy booth is out a very experienced midfielder so im feeling even more confident now.

I think this game is absolutely pivotal in our season. Win and we go into the game with high flying Millwall with a lot of confidence, lose..and we are staring down the barrel of a tough run of games with a fixture pile up over christmas.

Team

Gil Martin

Weston Gerrard Roberts Palmer

Deeney Bradley Hughes Nicholls

Jabo Ricketts

Subs:

Albin
Reich
Boertien
Mattis
Smith

I shall await the result, but..as predicted Reich and Boertien dropped for Palmer and Jabo. No Laundary in the 16.

Team selection confirms our worst fears, Palmer is our first choice left back ahead of Boertein!! Deeney and Nicholls are picked in the wide positions ahead of Reich and therefore must be more highly rated by our manager!!

I'm afraid that team selection is stupid.
What incentive do the likes of Boertein and Reich have to perform well if they're to be replaced by the likes of Deeney and Palmer whenever they're available?

Because he's got something going on with Palmer. He must have.
The simple change would have been to swap Deeney for Jabo and leave the rest.

A manager can have a lot of badges and still get the selection wrong. Or do you think that managers with badges never make mistakes?

The fans might have no badges but they can still see that when a manager is making mistakes.

It is strange but true that clever, experienced and well qualified people in all walks of life make lots of mistakes. Sometimes these mistakes are obvious to lots of ordinary people with no particular qualifications and experience.

Sid, depending on your politics I am sure that you can think of times when political leaders get things badly wrong - whether it is the war in Iraq, the credit crunch, the arrest of Damian Green, ID cards or one on many issues, I suspect that there are times where you think that you know better than those in power. Or do you think that because our politicians are all so brilliant that you should never criticise their judgment?

I'm not sure I'd've changed anything at all after last week. Maybe Jabo for Deeney, but why not stick with Troy after he's played well for the last few games. After all, Jabo had gone off the boil even before his lay-off. Boertien did nothing wrong last week and we were seconds away from keeping a rare clean sheet (and I'm sure we would've done if we hadn't lost concentration after the second goal made the game safe). So, why change the back four?

If I had have been going to make a change then I think it might have been to bring Taundry in wide on the right to try to keep things tight initially (Reich could've come on later). Yet, RT doesn't even make the bench despite being able to cover midfield and defence. Is he injured?

serious question:

have i missed something? are you related to mullen or are you his mate?

its the only explaination i can think of for defending that team selection, specifically boertian being left out for palmer!

Haha! Oi! I am Bangor Uni's star midfielder! =D Won every game so far! Scored 7 and got about 10 assist or something silly!

but seriously.....I cannot believe Try 'should be a brick layer' Deeney is keeping out a former German international, Bundesliga winner and who has played in europe...Marco Reich. Ridiculous!
