Bristol Rovers (A) League 1 Saturday 19/1/08.
Form Guide Rovers last 6 league games.
Huddersfield - away - lost 1-2
Leeds - away - lost 0-1
Luton - home - drew 1-1
Calisle - home - won 3-0
Southend - away -won 1-0
Tranmere -away - won 2-0
Some more than useful results in that run including a 2-2 draw in the FA Cup away against Premiership Fulham the replay being the same night we travel to Millwall .
Prediction , After last season final games i'll always have a soft spot for the pirates but i reckon we'll turn them over
1-2 To the Saddlers.

Tough one this.....
Anyone going to the 3-0 away defeat 20 odd years ago at Twerton Park?
Gary Penrice  :(

I live and work down in Brizzle. went to the game at yeovil with a lifelong Gashead who is a Rovers fanatic. He has two dogs, one called Bristol the other Rovers!! He says the saddlers will easily win on saturday if they play with the same style, character and commitment that was shown at Yeovil.
2-0 to the Saddlers for me.
2-0 to the Saddlers for me.

1 or 2 nil to the saddlers, especially with their current away form.

To be honest, there is a real possibility that it won't happen next week. A lot of rain is forecast down here in the next few days, and Rovers have already had several home postponments because of a waterlogged pitch. The surface has never been the best, and takes a right regular battering from the rugby team too. Add to that a cup replay against Fulham on Tuesday, and I would be very surprised if either - let alone both - matches go ahead.
Fingers crossed though.

Would be a welcome break if it was postponed this weekend.

I quite like our away trips to Bristol Rovers I don’t think I have seen us lose at the Memorial Ground. Although I don’t think I am going to this match I can still see us breaking our win, draw sequence with another win 3-1 to the Saddlers.

Indeed they are. To hear Gas fans go on about them, you'd think that was the only reason they visit the Mem. Mind you, until last season....

Dont no about this one. Bristol have won 3 games in a row and are playing well. Is Rickets or Mooney going to be back as i dont see us winning without one of them but however we won without them against yeovil! Walsall keep on surprising me!
Heart say 2-0 :D
Head says 1-1 :(

Paul trollope was interviewed for local radio ahead of tomorrows game with Fulham, syaing Ground staff have put covers onto the pitch as heavy rain forecast for tomorrow and overnight. They are on a roll at the moment and are very keen for the match (against Fulham) to go ahead. I guess it will depend upon that result, and injuries/bookings as to whether the ground staff try equally hard to make the pitch playable for us on Saturday.
They cannot have too many matches postponed as it will create problems but that has to be balanced against consolidation in League 1. Its not the best pitch for drainage. Can see a late pitch inspection saturday myself. A postponement may suite us as well :!: :!:

I hope it isn't called off - I'm flying to the game from Newcastle!
If it does go ahead I fancy us to sneak it 2-1. If it doesn't, I'll be enjoying all that the beautiful city of Bristol has to offer. I am 50% Bristolian after all!

If Sonko scores, will the Headline be: "Sunshine on A Rainy Day!"?

Well, the Rovers/Fulham match is off tonight  . I really hope the game will go ahead on Saturday, as I've already arranged to meet up with a few Gas fans and sink a few pints up Gloucester Road [Prince of Wales is a 'good call' about 20 mins walk from the ground]. It is certainly in the balance, though.
