I was really gutted after the Oldham game.
We were bottom of the table Saturday morning, now, three and a half days later we are respectably mid-table.
Looking forward to Saturday.
Ah yes, but looking carefully at the table we are only a few points from the bott...
...oh sod it, WE'RE MID TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely brilliant result albeit nearly thrown away in true Walsall style.
It's pleasing to see that Money seems to have things sorted away from home, particularly in that we are scoring goals. I'd feel a bit better if we weren't leaking them so regularly at the back, but maybe we'll see another loan signing soon.
Mattis sounds like he's got the legs we've been crying out for in midfield and playing Bradley as well makes us a mobile team who can clearly score goals.
I thought Sonner was alright but getting rid of him looks like it could prove to be a masterstroke.
I think we could do with another striker as Butler looks like he won't be playing for us again, but by the sounds of things Mooney did the business tonight.
Very, very happy with the result. Bring on the Terriers!

What a comeback from the Oldham debacle!
Well done DD and the lads. Maybe we've really got a team that can do something now - but don't let's get carried away, it's only 3 away wins on the trot :D :D :D
BTW what's our record for consecutive away wins???
I think it is five.

He enjoyed the game though (up until then).
What did he say "Bring back Colin Lee" ? Naughty boy!
Clearly a case of mistaken identity I'm sure. Sheff is always very reserved and would never utter forth with foul and abusive language in public.
The lad is gutted and can't believe what has happened to him. He was in bits when I spoke to him on the phone as he was on the train home.
Justice for the Sheffield One !!!!!

Presumably as I only live 3 miles from the ground this will be the first comments posted.
I think you could describe this as a game of two halves with a total idiot for a referee.
First half we were outplayed letting Doncaster have too much time on the ball. Ince was at fault for the first goal, not claiming a cross just a yard from the line. Mills had a free header. Mooney gave Ince a mouthful. Fox scored a rocket free-kick from 20 yds that the wall decided to divert into the net. We fell asleep for a set piece for their second with Mooney again having a go at Ince but I wouldn't blame him.
The ref was handing out yellow cards without any consistency.
The second half started as a different game. Doncaster had taken Heffernan off and replaced him with a Coppinger, a fifth midfielder. This seemed to totally throw the balance of their team and we proceeded to play them off the park for the whole of the second half. Bradley had a shot that Sullivan tipped over, Mooney hit the bar, Sonko was causing problems down the right, Ishy on the left. We had three or four corners in succession but did not get the ball in the net. They had the odd attack which the defence, including Ince who was now catching every cross, dealt with easily.
Bradley then got on the end of a cross for the equaliser and five minutes later a bizarre incident when Sullivan took a ball but put his leg out, as keepers do, tripping Sonko up and the ref gave a penalty. Mooney stepped up and calmy stroked it past Sullivan.
The ref capped his display by awarding Doncaster a penalty for a blatant fall, it could not be described as a dive, as Weston, on for the injured Wrack, made the challenge. No matter Coppinger put the ball miles wide from the spot.
A fantastic night with the supporters in good voice.

Superb performance especially in the second half,Mooney was really up for it Sonko and Ishy had them worried everytime they ran at their defence.
Only bad part of the night was Wracky pulling up and going straight off
UpTheSaddlers!!!!!!!!!
Glad you didn't get the 'up' and 'off' the wrong way round!

Think we both agree it was a great performance though
Sounded like we were toilet for the first half though. Ince indecisive, defence too deep, lost possession too easily. I was a bit worried. Donny's half-time change of formation was a surprise - looks like they saw us a bigger threat then we sounded on the commentary (although it may just have been forced by injury). Just like Hartlepool, who switched formations to contain us instead of play their own game. That's great - other managers are worried about us.

Onto the match.
First half we played well for 15 minutes and looked good, but in between Donny had the better of it for two 15 minutes spells.
Then second half we were all over them, their keeper pulled off 3 superb saves before we made it 2-2.
Sonko running the show, fantastic.
Then errmmmm not sure!
