That is so very true. :) :)

The norm for us last season was that we won when we played badly. A Freudian slip if ever I saw one.

Wasn't the only thing you did involving Millwall fans when you were 15 and brain dead was it Kev?  :D

As for tomorrow, 2-0, Butler and Ishy, 5,432 with 1,234 away fans.

Walsall v Port Vale
Walsall's veteran striker Tommy Mooney is pushing for a recall having returned to training following a calf niggle.
Midfielder Danny Sonner is also back after an ankle knock, while Michael Dobson has recovered from hamstring troubles to take his place.

Port Vale manager Martin Foyle is set to hand striker Luke Rodgers a recall to the starting line-up having scored every goal this season.

Foyle is also set to keep faith with loan striker David McGoldrick.

1-0 to us, on the basis that if we don't win then we really are in the creamy-muck-muck.

Don't care who gets it either.

5,000ish, with 800-1000 from Burslem

Excellent use of creamy-muck-muck.

Gold star, pat on the back and a jolly well done.

In the Express & Star Richard Money says that he hopes to be able to play Sonner, Dobson and Mooney. "I'm not sure whether this is a game for young players. I think in the main you need old heads."

So it seems that if they are all fit the team could be:
Ince
Weston Gerrard Roper Boertien
Hall Dobson Sonner Wrack
Mooney Butler

A lot of old heads, but also a lot of old legs. :(

Perhaps DD is just having a laugh: he wouldn't really send out a team like that, would he?

still no Mooney or Dobson.

2 injuries + 2 international call up
shows how weak the squad is!

Goodbye Canerio (or whatever his name is)?

Half time and we're not losing. Got to be good. If we aren't conceding, it's better news.

So the tactic of playing 6 defenders seems to have worked so far then!!

Sport dilemma - I'm trying to listen to our crud footie team, watch England build a promising position against India, which they'll no doubt squander as the night goes on, and skim through the All Blacks trying to demolish Italy. Ther's also Ingerlund later, so no sleep for me tonight.

I gather our referee is a crowd-pleaser, by the way.
