Its so easy to start playing when your already 2 down against a side who probably slipped into 2nd gear after 8 minutes when they scored the 2nd...

Espeically a side who had lost both home matches to date and had failed to score a goal at home.

This is 5 successive defeats, 3 goals in 6 scored and 11 conceded. If folk can't understand why some people are worried and seeing concerns, then they never will in all fairness.

If Money does have money spare, he really should be looking to spend it now, because looking at the depth, or lack of, of this squad then he should have concerns about it when he has an injury or 3.

Looking at the team that started, he obviously dropped Dann to try Ant and Ropes... All he was missing is Dobson, Sonner and Mooney.

I wonder if DD will say we were unlucky? Bournemouth had not scored at home until tonight!

I think even the happy clappers can understand people's concerns, they just choose to try and look for the positives. I've tried to be optimistic but the longer this goes on......

Bring on the fail

Make no mistake, however 'meaningless' some folk might think tonights match was, I can't imagine it will do any good to confidence at all. It'll be a kick in the balls for this team, beaten so quickly and so easily by a poor team in Bournemouth, make no mistake, they'll be fighting the bottom 6/8 this season.

More over, it increases the pressure on Saturday even more to be honest, a 6th defeat on the spin at home to Fail is not something to be dismissed lightly.

Fortunately being Fail, hopefully it might have the little bit of a 'derby' factor that can get us fired up and really give things a good go to get the monkey off our back, get that first win and ideally a clean sheet and a platform on which to build.

It will be my first game due to the wedding etc, so I'll bring some luck with me.

Fasten your seatbelts boys and girls, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Yep the player who actually showed potential on loan for us but most people slated because he didn't score a hat trick every game.

Some get what they deserve but I'd have loved to have signed him permanently. I'm sure others would now.

You know he went for buttons on deadline day MMF? (Although he had been on loan for a week previously.) Maybe there were alternatives to Byfield if we'd sold Butler after all.

Before the start of the season I thought the keeper and defence would be fine and we would be going for a one-nil mentality.

Dann and Gerrard have had a shock and so has DD, he wasn't expecting us to be conceeding so easily and his plan for nicking a goal is not going to work.

DD's options sort out defence or bring in Extra quality in midfield and attack or preferably both

Who would want his job? Pressure is on already and limited funds so no quick fixes. What would YOU do? People should think carefully before they scream to call for his head.

Let's hope for a big, vocal crowd, who can get behind the lads. I know it's idealisitic, but a boo boy amnesty would be good. Give the lads 90 minutes and if they don't respond, then get on their backs, I think they'll deserve it then, because it's clear how big a game this is now, but we need to get behind them in the only way that footy fans can make a difference - vocal support. Many would say that the lads owe it to us to perform on the pitch, but we owe it to them and to our fellow supporters to get behind them.

Bit preachy, especially as I have to work on Saturday and can't get to the game, but I'll be there in spirit, my lucky pants will be on and my ear will be glued to the commentary, willing the lads on.

We can't ask more than 100% effort, but we shouldn't expect any less.

just listening to some of the phone in's on WM, quite interesting really especially one where a bloke said his ex work collegue played golf with bonser one day, and he asked GB, will u be buying any players this season and he replied "whats the point, if i buy a plot of land i can get something back from it, with a player i can't.

Something along those lines, but it would make sense to be honest if it was true, theres got to be money to spend, only one person holding us back from using it...

Agreed saturday is a massive game, we need to really give the lads some encouragement saturday, they need all the help they can get at the moment!

Yeah, coming from a bloke who got all his facts wrong and was saying our natural level is at Championship level. I think he should check the history books.

Sums our fans up.

I read somewhere that he moved to Bournemouth to be nearer his family as he lives down near the south coast. Apparently the commute to Southend for training and matches etc was becoming too much. They had agreed it would be best for him to move back in May.

So I doubt he would have come to us even if we were interested.

And to be fair he has just publically apologised to Walsall fans everywhere for tonight's showing, so instead of twisting the knife maybe we should at least see if he has the capability as a manager to turn this situation around, as he did when we faltered last season.

Saturday is a massive game and we have a squad shorn of 4 or 5 first team players.

I was interested after Bernie posted our other poor starts to look back at 96/97 and the atrocious results we had in the first 3 months of the season. Back then I can't remember anyone really calling for Nicholl to be sacked.
It took an age to turn that season round, including a bit of money spent on bringing Andy Watson and John Hodge in to pep up the attack.

I think this is a very similar situation, the main difference being that we now have 5,000 supporters instead of 3,000. That seems to bring a whole new mentality to the situation for some reason.

I'm sure that was true. Just on a bit of a wind-up really if I'm honest. Anything to try to cheer myself up at the moment...
