I'll be there. Heart says win as always but head says loss. 2-1.

DD will not be resting anyone; he wants to get through to the second round. I'll be there but I fear a narrow Swansea victory.

1-1 full time.

1-2 after extra time.

Nicholls to score the winner on extra time...

Mooney and Nicholls to score.

I honestly wouldnt want DD playing Mooney, lets use this as one of his 'rest' games.

3-0 Swansea

He's not gone yet!

Here's an idea - if Butler leaves, you can add 'was a Saddler' to the writing on the back.

Think we might see a few of the younger pros given a run out - the likes of Bradley and Nicholls to start maybe.

Narrow loss I'd say, 1-0. :(

An entertaining game as the result doesn’t matter like a league game. But I think we will lose 3-2 in normal time.

Or alternatively abandoned after 66 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with us leading 3-0.

Unlikely but I fancy a repeat of Plymouth last season. A 1-0 win with lots of fringe players and an unlikely scorer.

Team news

Swansea v Walsall
Swansea captain Garry Monk should return to the starting line-up after recovering from an ankle injury.
And fit-again duo Kevin Amankwaah (toe) and Tom Butler (hamstring), who missed out at the weekend, could also feature.

Walsall striker Martin Butler should make the squad after recovering from a virus but midfielder Edrissa Sonko has been ruled out by a hamstring injury.

Winger Ishmel Demontagnac misses out as he will serve the final instalment of a two-game ban from last season

DD , on tonights clash.

Walsall boss Richard Money today urged his players to set up another high-profile Premiership clash in the Carling Cup as they travelled to Swansea to begin their challenge.

Money pledged to take the competition seriously and ruled out the prospect of mass team changes for tonight’s match at the Liberty Stadium, when the Saddlers will look to make it third time lucky after losing on penalties to the Swans in each of the last two seasons.

And the manager is keen to secure a repeat of last season’s second-round tie against Premier League Bolton, when Walsall played out a thrilling match before going out late on.

The Saddlers’ rousing second-half performance against Sam Allardyce’s team was one of the highlights of the season.

And, with his eyes on more of the same, Money has ruled out fielding a shadow team tonight.

“We want to win and go through to the next stage,” he said
