Aston Villa H 7/8/07
Going to be a bit of a test this one - they got a great result against Inter today
Optimistically I will suggest a 2-2 draw - goals from Carlos and Wrack
Bet DD doesn't start with three up front for this one

I went to Villa Vs Inter Milan today and i was impressed by how Villa played.
The style of the performance was mainly off the back of the pace drive and energy supplied by Reo Coker, Moore and Agbonlahor. With Agbonlahor making some big names in World Football (Walter Samuel & Matteratzi) look like Sunday League players.
Villa are going to be a fun side to watch this season. I'm looking forward to this one. I feel that the likes of Ishy, Deeney and Nicholls could add that pace, drive and energy to our team at some point !

I'm looking forward to our now annual visit even though i've been the last 4 years! It will be good to play against a team that will hopefully give us a real test, not like that mickey mouse outfit Inter Milan today.... :D Hopefully Trolly Man will be there to keep us entertained like every year, he's a legend amongst our fans. I look forward to drinking with some of your fans in the Queens Head pub before the game like every year aswell :)

I don't know though everywhere else I've seen that we're just playing the normal Aston Villa!
We are bringing our full squad, MON has said he might give a few of the squad players a run out though to get match fitness or he will make lots of subs

This match is worrying me a little. Particually after seeing Villa beat in italian champions Inter 3-1 Yesterday!
I know friendly results dont matter a great deal but i really dont think a drubbing 4 days before the start of the season will do the teams confidence any good. If Villa play like they did against Milan im afraid to say that is what is most likely to happen.
I think DD was right when he said he would much rather finish pre season now than face Villa on Tuesday. There must be some way we can cancel it! lol
Maybe im getting too worried? i am just a little concerned. I hope im proved wrong and we put on a decent performance.

i was at the villa v milan game yesterday, and believe me the result totally flattered villa. yes they played very well and deserved to win but milan just were not interested and didn't decide to get anything out of the game till midway through the 2nd half.
reo-coker looked very impressive, will be a star for them this year a very good bit of business imho, as did agbonlehor, moore and ashley young.
but as always the star of the show was
uriah rennie - why oh why does he always have to spoil a fiootball match with totally ridiculous decisions :?:

I actually thought Villa deserved their win, but i think it has more to do with Inter being further behind in their pre-season. A lot of their players seemed a good half a yard off the pace.
Couldn't agree more about Rennie - is their a more dislikeable man in football?! (However, I thought the star of the show was the Inter doctor in his Stafflers-style suit and footy boots combo and the flailing gazelle-type run)
As for Tuesday, I think we're in for a tough night - i'd go 3 or 4-1 to Vila.

According to Sky, the game scheduled for TUESDAY, is off. Another Sky c*ck-up?
Sky are saying Walsall v Aston Villa on Monday is off, there never even was any game on Monday :D
Unless old Dickey Dosh has refused to take part in the game, i'll be having my 6 quid back
