Cook was a decent player. So was Forde.

I think that with a tad more ambition we could have kept those two, Milan and Demetriou from that squad. And let’s not forget that Bradshaw and Rico were contracted for another season. You stick Ozzy in for Sawyers and suddenly you’ve got a side capable of having another tilt. Instead, you get the impression that having worked with Whitney as manager for four months and with Walsall sniffing potential windfalls, the stampede out was inevitable.

Do it lads - put a smile on the faces of the whole town (except the scum who follow Wolves, Villa, WBA and Man Ure).

I was disappointed losing the likes of Taylor and Mantom. Solid players. Most interesting thing was the amount of stick both got in their final year here, Taylor for seemingly not being Rico Henry and Mantom coming back in when George Evans was recalled.

Probably showed how high the standards had got that those two were frequently criticised after games on here and how quickly standards have fallen when you see who plays in their positions now.

Generally a rule of thumb of relegation from a position of strength is year on year the quality of your 11 gets worse and that's certainly happened spectacularly in last 18 months.

Me too. And unlike many, I wouldn’t be averse to a re-return of Milan.

But I think whichever league we are in, Dean will begin by making us hard to beat. He barely contained his despair at Devlin and K Roberts last week. You don’t need to be Bobby Moore to effectively stay switched on and kick or head the ball away from your goal.

It ain’t gonna be pretty but he needs to start somewhere.

Anyway today. 3-1 defeat I’m afraid.

Good to see you back Welsh,
Horrible condition Shingles , my other half had it a few years ago and said she would rather go through 8 hours of labour gain than have that for 5 minutes, glad you're ok now mate.

Onto things Sadllers wise, we're going to get a dicking today and i believe we'll mess up next week against Northampton , however either i'm living with my head in the sand or just hoping and praying , i believe we'll survive..............but only just.

Hopefully DK will do some good business in the close season and get rid of half the club and build up a good squad for 18/19.Having said that i also hope that Lisa Scott Lee from Steps will invite me round to a hot tub party with her, so don't read to much into it.

Prayer time. I'd be looking for 3_5_2 myself if Fitzwater is fit. Wing backs are the only way to get width with this squad and Roberts could add some ball playing quality from the back if supported by the bulk of the other 2 centre backs. Chambers, Dobson and Flo or Morris in midfield, with Nguyen + Ozzie up top (to be pulled off quickly if he can't be arsed).Fear for the worst today though.

I agree with you, I have been saying for a while that the strength in this team is by playing 3-5-2. There are options in midfield and up front by doing that but it looks like Dean is sticking to his 4-4-2 again.

Fingers crossed, anything can happen at the moment, we are due one of our against the odds wins.

Hoorah!!! But would rather see a Doncaster goal. Amazing that all we can hope is that other teams cock up, it's a sort of given that we'll lose.

If only someone had persistently predicted relegation at every turn for the last ten seasons, we could now commend them on their visionary predictive skills.
