World's largest trading block = sinking ship analogy. Interesting.

Exactly. We shouldn't be part of it in case it crashes some time some day in the future.

It's already crashing, just some people refuse to acknowledge the massive iceberg up ahead.

Whatever you say, you have no proof that the country will be in the shite once we leave. You can't, it's impossible to have proof of something that is yet to happen.

Wait till we leave then people can determine whether it's a disaster or not.

People need to stop using predictions as facts on both sides. I don't think it'll be a disaster or utopia many are PREDICTING.

Well, it would be the first thing that this government has managed to organise when it comes to Brexit then.

If anyone is interested the USA has produced it’s 500 page tome on what it wants to dump, sorry sell to the U.K. as a price for doing a trade deal. Apparently a recent poll stated that 92% of the people polled did not want the USA food because of the different standards. Make your own mind up!

US food standards are pretty poor. For example the chickens there are kept in tightly packed spaces and as a result are contaminated with fecal matter, high in salmonella, that makes it into the meat when the chickens are slaughtered. The meat is then dipped in a chlorine bath in an attempt to remove it,

Salmonella is a big problem in the US.

Small price to pay for a trade deal with the US after Brexit, eh?

Beat me to it Tinned.
Here we have the scenario that has happened hundreds of time since the vote.
Evidence is provided by a Brexit voter with a plus, Manchester mocks it but provides NO evidence to back his claim up

Oh by the way Manchester I had no problems whatsoever at Heathrow or Gibraltar airport in the past week !
What were your "predictions" again earlier in this thread (can't be arsed to trawl back) ? Something along the the lines of "hope I enjoy the delays off the Spanish and at Customs".

The only minor problem I encountered in Gibraltar was I nearly went down the "Non EU" aisle.
This time next year I will go down that aisle.

Not true, and if you could be minded to read back you'd see that it would be mostly comprised of the dismantling of Brexit pre-vote promises, none of which seem to have survived, very real and evidenced negative economic impacts, and predictions made by respected financial and business communities about the impacts of Brexit.

So far, this has been countered by an individual repeatedly referring to 'June', when the entire planet was allegedly about to slide into a black hole, pretending that we haven't left yet and 'it's not so bad as they said' and looking for relatively minor investments - literally scraps off bigger economies - and asserting that these show that the correct decision has been made.

The Brexit brigade have offered precisely naff all, and can only pretend that the remain argument is as appalling as their own because they have nothing else to go on.

I didn't mock it. I merely pointed out that Ellesmere Port is in danger of closing - another Vauxhall plant not too far from your old stomping ground!

But we haven't left yet, Swampy. We are still in the EU at the moment, something you can't seem to get to grips with. We haven't hurled ourselves off the cliff yet.

You seem to have a massive blindspot when it comes to certain facts - that much is obvious from virtually ALL of your contributions to this thread.

Hold on Mr High and Mighty you told me months ago I would have delays. No delays.
So come on then. Back up your claims I will be delayed by the Spanish, which never happened I actually flew over Madrid, and Customs would play havoc with me being British.
Want hard proof of Brexit Manchester I flew through Passport Control and Customs yesterday.
You are the one with a "blindspot" my deluded friend.
See Brexit is happening, the moment you and your foreign friend ( who has such a high opinion of how things should be run, but spends most of the time with the ladyboys of East Asia), realize that the better.

When you do go "abroad" you end up in a British enclave.

Ignoring the usual personal stuff and my alleged 'upset' , the pound has fallen as a direct result of Brexit and we've slid from leading EU growth to lagging behind. No, this didn't occur the day after Brexit, but further along the line. Perhaps eventually you will comprehend this, until then it's 'June Armageddon' on repeat - although you'd think you'd be able to spell it by now.

Further evidence ...

Another dark day for the retail industry with Shop Direct making nearly 2,000 members of staff redundant, proving even online retailers aren’t immune to current economic pressures.
The pattern of well loved stores filing for administration or cutting jobs over the last few weeks is terrible news for the UK’s retail industry. The location of Shop Direct’s warehouses appears to be the cause of these redundancies being made and with a new site not expected until 2021 there is little hope for staff to be transferred.

The National Institute of Economic and Social Research has put out its monthly estimate of GDP growth. It reckons that growth slowed to 0.2% in the first quarter of this year, from 0.4% in the fourth quarter.

I predict another vile and defensive tirade from Miss Hissy knickers before she goes back to picking her scabs and polishing her medals for filling a few fuel trucks.

Always a pleasure. :D
