Congratulations JJ! :D
Although initially slightly dismayed at the selfishness of the gesture, I am more disgruntled by Saddla's acquisition of 2 lucky points for the Rovers fixture and expect some kind of childish hullaballoo as a result. :|

Congratulations JJ, All the best for the future mate.
As an aside I notice that Miss Saigon has reverted to form and has slipped below me to her rightful position in the table. Glug, glug glug.
ROFLMFAO 1 point was it this week Saigon? And I haven't even hit form yet.

Re: Prediction League 1: 2017-18 - Intro & Latest Table
Evening all. Thanks for the congratulations from you - it certainly felt like back to earth with a bump today back at work after a great week last week!
Anyway, on with the updated table from this past weekend. Another slightly low set of scores with only 6 people scoring more than 1 point.
The winning score was 3 points, achieved by saddla and Welsh_Saddler - well done you two!
No prediction week this coming weekend due to the FA Cup, so we return on Nov 11th with week 17.

Hooray! 10,000 posts! :D
Spoiled slightly as a few selfish predictors have seen fit to go above me in the table, but never mind. :?

Week 17 updated table from last weekend. The run of poor scoring continues for so many with only a handful getting more than a solitary point.
The week's winning score was 3 points, achieved by Donnington Saddler - well done!
Next updated table shortly!

Updated table after Saturday (week 18). Still lots of low scores so not a great deal of movement in the table.
The winning score was 3 points, achieved by WSTFC - well done!
There are games this Tues eve so make sure you predict before 7.45 kick offs.

Accidentally gone above Saddla (And Welsh) through various transgressions and alphabetical nuances ...
Feeling contrite and embarrassed.

Week 19 table for last Tuesday 21st November.
No-one blobbed and the winning score was 3 points, achieved by Cully, Pedagogue, Welsh_Saddler, Morty and me - well done to us all!
Not a great deal of movement in the table and Morty still leads the way!

Re: Prediction League 1: 2017-18 - Intro & Latest Table
I was about to post that I achieved 3 points, and therefore should be on 32, 1 above Saddla, who only managed 2. But that was for Saturday's game. :D
So I'm now on 34 and Saddla on 33. While Welsh selfishly got a correct score so is still, incredibly, above me in the table. :x
I'm basically 4th.

Sorry to disillusion you, young man, but I didn't get a correct score on Saturday. A mere 2 points was all I managed to achieve .... so there may be hope for you!! :D

People in the street often try to ask me if I'm sad or angry about my current league position. I stop them before they can open their stupid mouths and shout:
'No, I'm NOT!'
They look confused and surprised. And sometimes annoyed.
'There's always hope!' I shout before running off, sometimes in tears, but that's just the wind. It's usually windy.

It's funny that when I think of you, Saigon, all I see is an enormous sack of hot air. Have you got a leak?

Latest table after the games on Sat 25th Nov (week 20). Some very good scoring overall and the winning score of 4 points was achieved by 5 predictors: Cully, Exile, chunkster, Burton Saddler and addo - well done to you all!
Lots of movement as a result of the scoring so see where you are now! Game week 21 is now up and running so get predicting!

Another 3 points today and pleased to be slithering further up the table, like a badly behaved, gravity defying mollusc.

Re: Prediction League 1: 2017-18 - Intro & Latest Table
Updated table after Saturday's games and the first p-p game of the season to keep tabs on as well!
Generally good scoring and quite a few 3s but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by Manchester Saddler - well done mate!
Week 22 is already up and running and we approach not only Christmas, but the mid point of the season's prediction league. So much can happen in the second half of the campaign and a decent run gets you right up into challenging for the title!

Latest table after the weekend games. Mixed bag of scoring but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by chunkster and Burton Saddler - well done you two!
The Christmas a New Year period throws up loads of games so look out for all the threads - this weekend's one and the Boxing Day one are already up and running.

Almost. It's halfway after the games on 23rd.
I suppose I should be reasonably pleased, having struggled manfully up to where I am now. However I feel let down by that Scunthorpe idiot being sent off last week which changed that result. :|
I always manage to expose my magnificence in the 2nd half of the contest and hope to improve my current position. Have I mentioned only three predictors have finished above me in 5 years? 8)

Updated table after last weekend's games (week 23). Poor scoring as many teams didn't perform as expected! But, the winning score was 3 points, achieved by Welsh Saddler - well done!
More updated tables coming soon but games are still coming thick and fast so make sure you predict the New Year's Day games

Updated table after Boxing Day games (week 24). Generally good scoring and the winning score was 4 points, achieved by those two good friends, Manchester Saddler and Saigon Saddler - well done you two!
No game week this coming weekend due to the FA Cup (there are 4 league one games but there has to be at least 6 to count as a game week!) but there will be some more updated tables from weeks 25 and 26 to keep an eye out for during this week. Week 26 will be Sat 13th Jan - see you then!
