Sounds another interesting game, Blackpool playing well and Gillespie made two excellent saves.
Don't see this ending 1-0.

Glad to be winning but sad to say there is a lack of quality about this team. I hope these words will be rammed down my throat !!!

Bakayoko sounds poor again.
Beyond me why Whitney dosen't think a Roberts-Agyei combo would be capable at this level.
Blackpool been well on top since the goal.

It is very fair to say that goal has been a long time coming.

Is it just me, or do we always concede a goal after JW makes a substitution?

Agyei did nothing, Roberts looked the opposite of Shrewsbury, Gillespie kept us in it at times.
Very average performance

Sounds like a good game to miss! What is the problem with the team? On paper, it doesn't look a bad team, but on grass it doesn't quite happen. What areas do we need to change?

The area in the little box on the side of the pitch. There’s nothing wrong with this side. Roberts should have started. Morris shouldn’t have. I’ve no problem playing direct if the team are under pressure. Today they weren’t. Just devoid of creativity and imagination today.

Well that was poor! Physical and direct? More like dithering and weak. Devlin is a complete liability. Formation was not working should have gone to 442 and been less vulnerable on the flanks. Ozzy is a blessing and a curse. Why did everyone boo when he too agyei off? He did absolutely f.all all game. At least Baka was getting the ball and trying.
Too many hoofs. Not enough urgency. Only started playing when they got the goal. But still not enough chances too score.
We were lucky that Blackpool couldn't score on another day they might have had a few. But even after all that we should have won? Still got no idea why the goal was disallowed. Ref was poo after he gave us the free kick I think the talking down from Mr bowyer must have scared him.
In summary - it was warm wasn't it?

THAT is why Whitney needs to go. How can anyone be happy watching that dross!! Hoof. Lose second ball. Hoof. Lose second ball. REPEAT.
Judging by the Whitney Out chants I'm glad more people are seeing him for what he is, a terrible manager. Enough of the "he's learning" bollocks. He is done.
WHITNEY OUT.
WHITNEY INS can fudge off.

I agree with a lot of your post but I only think Devlin is a liability because of the system we play. He’s playing winger and full back a lot of the time. I’ve said it from day one just because Chelsea can pull off this system it doesn’t mean we can. He’s a solid player for me played in a system that simply doesn’t work for us defensively.
And the reason I say that is because Leahy is a liability on the other side being asked to do the exact same job.

Re: Blackpool (H) League One 14th Oct, 3pm
Yeah fair point but just think that Guthrie + leahy is stronger than Wilson + Devlin. But we give far too much space and time down the flanks playing wingbacks. Blackpool exploited it with majority of play in our half first half and on breaking away quickly second half.
I forgot to say something positive for supporters of the optimistic disposition. Korey Roberts positioning and reading of the play is very good. Old head on teenager shoulders.

We can only hope !!
He is completely out of his depth. All he does is after 60 minutes change a striker for a striker. Blackpool made two changes nearly after our substitution & changed the game. Although saying that if Blackpool had their scoring boots today it would have been all over by half-time.
