Gillingham (H)- 19.11.16- League One.
No preview thread?
Just been watching Brackley-Gillingham. No idea what's happened to the Gills this season but they are terrible...everytime Brackley attack them (they are a division lower than Macclesfield) they look like scoring, could've easily scored 4 in normal time.
It's currently 4-2 in extra time so ideal stuff....a team suffering a demoralising defeat and also having little recovery time for Saturday 3pm.
It's odd as the teams only met a month back, 1-1 down at the Priestfield so not sure why they're meeting again so soon when Walsall still haven't played a third of the division.
I'll go for a 3-1 win. Jackson against his old club, Ozzy and fancy a goal from a CB, let's say Toner.

I'll be angry if we don't get three points from these after what I saw last night.

High score draw this one.
Both are poor to average sides.

It's got to be 5-0 to us with Steven Gerrard getting a debut hat-trick.

Not so sure about that as there's sure to be a bit of a reaction from them given the FA Cup result. They also have some very decent attacking players for this level ( Mcdonald, Emmanuel-Thomas, Dack) so I don't think we can base it on a 'one off' such as Wednesday.
Still, I do fancy a 2-1 win tomorrow, with Oztumer and a late Bakayoko winner for us, to keep our league run ticking over nicely, in front of around 4,500 (250 Gills).

Still looking for a 'supplier' for something to ease the growing old pains, you obviously have a great stash....can I have some?
Agree with the post above, score draw all over it, repeat of the away score 1-1 at best, with Dack getting theirs (as always) early on, with us getting a last minute 'in off a defenders bum' equaliser. Just under 4K in attendance, all cold wet and miserable, watching a disappointing dud.

Don't be too harsh on yourself AM, I know you can be extremely negative but you do have a sense of humour. Pity you don't have a bit of optimism I will send you a pack for Xmas.

What is happening at Bury, clearly some big problems. If you add them to Oldham (who are dire), Shrewsbury (another poor team) and Chesterfield (huge financial problems), you've probably got the bottom 4 for this season. We'll do well to break into those relegation places.

Interesting to note that Cuvelier is on the bench - this implies he's match-fit ... worth a go in the 2nd half? (With Bakayoko, who arguably should have been there from the 1st minute)

Both sides not that great with Gills slightly edging us.
They're pressing us when we have the ball and moving it round quickly when they have it.
In contrast we're backing off when they have the ball and barely moving when we have it.

We'll probably do a great job at prising an opening down there. :(
Just got back in to find that Bracknell's victims are making us look second best, something ain't quite right, this squad should be better than this.

THIS is what WE should be doing against poor opposition, as it stands, one slip and we could lose.

1-2 down - direct free kick, 83 min....... :( :( :( :(
Walsall substitution on 86 minutes - isn't that a bit Hutchings-esque??? (Cuvelier on for Moussa)
and on 87 minutes, Bakayoko comes on for Edwards.....

Team isn't good enough for stuff like that, lower to upper mid table will be about par for the season.
Again for people expecting another promotion challenge...what are you realistically basing that on?
The team doesn't keep enough clean sheets and aside from Oztumer nobody else is really scoring atm.
