De Girolamo released by the Blades, good young player and linked with Juventus 2 years ago, we can take all their players for a change

Peterborough have replaced Oztumer with Brad Inman from Crewe. Not a bad signing.

Forde off to Rotherham...
Decent league 1 player with the potential to be fantastic. Nowhere near good enough for the Championship at the moment though. Strange one that.

If true this is a big blow to us..he had a good end of season and will be a very good player. It will also make the Manager's task that little bit harder in building a new team. i still feel we can build a good team for next season but it is getting harder by the week.

Re: Transfer Rumours 2016/2017
Not sure why it's harder by the week. We're getting decent new players in and why would that stop? Its a transition and most of the players leaving aren't irreplaceable. The manager knows he has got to start to assemble a strong squad if he's got any chance of keeping Bradshaw and attracting better players to us.
Whitney must have looked at Downing and thought, I can get better in than him. We booed Sawyers (one of our best) off the pitch on occasions, Mantom was a sub at the end of the season, Forde didn't get picked for our biggest game at the end, and no one thought he was any good until after Christmas anyway.
A settled squad is rare for us. We always used to bring in at least half a new squad every year (it was only the last couple that we didn't and Smith built a side) and it used to be freebies no one wanted and last minute panic signings. Now we are in the market early and getting a bit of quality, and it seems trying to inject some robust tacklers to go with the ball players and we all saw in the play offs that we needed it. To me, that's got to be progress.

On that logic, automatic promotion sounds a formality :D

Posh also signed Gideon Edwards who I thought was a really good player at this level for Crawley. Surprised he played a season there in league two.

Re: Transfer Rumours 2016/2017
Little bit of a shot in the dark especially considering the midfielders we have already signed, but he does look a lot like Oscar Goburn who,we were after last summer, but he went to QPR and ended up not making an appearance for them, and had a short loans spell at Donny.
He has been released by Rangers so is a free agent, maybe a replacement for Mantom.

Looks like Reece Warbara to me, and fits the bill of what the squad needs.

Probably an unknown youth player.
Masi would've said if it was anyone of reputation.

It's ok I have heard he can join Merson in the Troy Deeney casino that is soon to be built if he likes a gamble and a tipple.

Re: Transfer Rumours 2016/2017
Looks like it may be Theo Vassell, young centre back we have on trial, former Stoke City youngster, who was then released by Oldham, recommended by Holden

Jake Bidwell gone from Brentford to QPR...

Anyone take Rueben Reid back?
Just left Plymouth. Only 7 goals last season but had a very good record previously in league two 31 in 83 appearences overall.
Still only 27, you forget how young he was when on loan here in what was a terrible team under Hutchings.

Probably going to Portsmouth but I would give him a shot.
