Updated table after the midweek games. After the mad last minute effort to get it set up (thanks again to Tinned for remembering there were games and getting the thread up!) and PM everyone, it was almost a waste of time as the scoring was so poor! Lots of blobs and 1s, as a result of some odd scorelines on Tuesday evening. Despite this, two predictors bucked the trend and managed to achieve 3 points - the week's winning total. So, well done to Saddla and Saigon Saddler.

The mixed bag of results has meant that the gap at the top has been reeled in and it is oh so tight up there at the lofty heights of the top 6!

Week 20 for Saturday is up and running.

Updated table from yesterday and not the best set of results for everybody - no blobs but only 3 people got more than 2 points. One of those was our week's winner with 4 points - Welsh Saddler. Well done to you!

This weekly win also puts Welshy at the top of the tree of weekly wins with 5 now, good going!

This week also sees a change in leadership at the top of the table. With Maximus not predicting (?!), saddla seized the opportunity and scored enough points to lift him to top spot...for now!

2 games on Tuesday but neither were in the original fixture week as it was an international weekend, so the next set of predictions and chance for points will be 12th Dec as it is FA Cup action all the way next Saturday.

An embarrassing week for Minimus - and I can't recall a healthy lead like that being squandered quite so abruptly and comprehensively ... even Exile in his pomp usually strings it out over an agonising month or two. :mrgreen:

Anyway, Manchester is correct (for once), and any table with ME in it just 3 points off the top in November should cause all sensible predictors to spontaneously loosen their bowels.

I'm usually about 6-12 points off the pace by now, but ALWAYS come back after December to chase down the groaning imbeciles, tub thumping have-a-go-heroes, shilly-shallying dilly-dalliers and puffed up lucky streakers.

As I stated confidently towards the massive climax of last season, just before jerking off into the face of lady luck and gliding luxuriantly into the throne of triumph, who would bet against ME now??

Here is the latest table after the weekend's games. A duff day for scoring as some supposed bankers at Peterborough and Wigan that many predicted didn't come off as well as some postponed games left people without points.
A few blobs and lots of ones, with the winning score only being 2 points. 5 people achieved this: reedswood saddler, Saigon Saddler, Asps, Wragbyred and chestersaddler - well done to you all.

Not much movement in the table as a result but all points count at the end of the day! I will keep an eye out for when the 3 pp games end up being played and add any points on when it is convenient.

Crazy set of results at the weekend, with lots of people predicting home wins that didn't happen, meaning a whole host of zeroes, some 1s, a couple of 2s and the winning score of 3 points, achieved by LLASLAW and Morty - well done to both of you!

Not a great deal of change in the table, although the top 4 have a bit of a gap now. No-one is scoring fantastically well week on week and so it is anybody's title to be had as we approach the half way point in the season.

Games for week 23 (Boxing Day) and week 24 (Monday 28th) will be put up at the same time, probably tomorrow or weds.

Lovely to be back in wonderful Walsall and I was very pleased to witness the glorious win over Fail yesterday. :D

It is pleasing to continue my inexorable rise through the ranks of gash to nestle gently in at 2nd place, applying a great deal of pressure on 'Saddla' and basically spoiling his Xmas - sorry about that HOHOHO :oops:

I have also simultaneously solved Johnny's bizarre alphabet issues by slapping Welsh back down and also taking advantage of Minimus's continuing horrific Villaesque collapse to claim 2nd place all on my own - I don't share. :D

I am scoring FANTASICALLY, clearly the success story of the last few weeks. I was 7 points adrift and am now fiddling with the rear of the leading donkey with my massive prediction firmness. It's my birthday. No it really is ... 21st December.
