Good result. A sign of what we are to expect at home. Once we got the goal, we were always going to score again. Need to create chances, or find different ways to get shots off on goal, from the start.

Thought the returning internationals were good, especially Demetriou. But for a poor pass from Super Tom, he'd have opened his account. Can't remember a right back bombing on so effectively for us.

Sawyers was almost at his best, and TB just proved how good a finisher he is, adding a few digits to his value.

I'm with Deano on the performance, some very mediocre play coming out of defence & centre mid, stray passes & silly free kicks given away. Could have easily been another Bury had they taken their opportunities.

Let's bring The Posh back down to earth on Saturday. Hopefully their tails are up and they'll try and play through us.

Sawyers was absolutely class, Ben the caller on WM who thinks Sawyers just passes Sideways....right ok mate sound.

As for WM, let me know where Tonka lives as I'll drop a rope round for him the clown.

Sawyers IS absolutely class and I really do pity those folk who still can't see it!

I'm not to be pitied and Sawyers is average.

No, but you should be ignored.

Getting in on the Sawyers debate, i think he's always had it in him to control a game like he's doing now. Now he's pulling the strings effectively and playing well consistently, people strangely notice that he's working hard for team.

A couple of the passes he made yesterday were out of this world. A big plus of not making many signings in the summer is that players now know where to make the forward runs, and also making those runs with the confidence that they'll be found

The first a screamer, puts a breakaway a foot wide from a narrow angle under loads of pressure, then takes the piss out of Everest in goal with a sublime chip all in 5 or 6 minutes after working his balls off all game. If Bonser takes less than £2million for Bradshaw into his pension pot, somebody needs to buy a Stinger missile to shoot the fudge helicopter down! Keep him for the year and its starting to look good.

Missing goal. The 'lazy' player who stole the ball back was ...?

The same bloke who lost it again about 2 seconds later?

It really was a dire game of football. I think we did enough for the win, but it was hard work watching today at times.

Normally we would lose that kind of match though, i was very surprised and pleased that we got the win in the end. The second goal looks offside to me....

Bradshaw struggled all game, but he ran the channels for 90 minutes and got his reward. What a guy. The chip for the second was completely ridiculous. There was an understandable look of relief on his face when he scored.

Jordan Cook is still utter garbage. He couldn't trap a bag of sand, or pass water.

The referee today was dodgier than a take away in caldmore. For both sides he was a complete farce. I think we got lucky when he didnt blow for a penalty though.

Looks like their number 2 could be playing Bradshaw onside.

Where's Bernie and his lines when you need him? :D

From where I sit he looked offside, but looking at the video their No 2 just comes into view at the bottom of the screen making Bradders just onside.

I'd choose the word "competent" personally given the lack of a coherent Rovers defence when the ball fell back to us. I'd have been pissed off if he'd screwed it up.

Sawyers was excellent yesterday by the way, even when he had to go back into a defensive midfield position to pick up possession (which he had to do on miles too many occasions)

Never hides, never has, even when playing badly. Plenty have and get less stick.

With Bradshaw, I just hope he doesn't get disillusioned with having to run like a dog every week - he's better than that. Also, can see another injury with the graft he has to put in.

One thing you can say about Sawyers is even when hes playing cack he is always the first to call for the ball.

Noticed that Bury stuffed Shef U this week (which is OK by me :D ) - yet another away win. They appear to have a good "formula" for away games (a bit like us, ironically) but it does appear to include a very physical element: they committed 17 fouls against only 8 by the Blunts. Despite some comments on here about us getting stuck in a bit more, I don't think we have the "skill" and "experience" to be as cynical as, say, Bury*, without us getting into serious trouble (which cynical teams seem to get away with far too often).
(Of course, we have won the Fair Play thingy for two seasons, haven't we? Prize: two pats on the back and packets of wine gums all round, wasn't it?).

* Any votes for the most "cynical" or "nasty" (or an ickle bit rough  ) teams in the division?? :?:

It's impossible to tell from the video as you can't see where the No2 is at the time the ball is played.
From his position running back though it does seem as if he's probably played Tom onside as he has a yard on his team mates running back.

As I grow older, I learn to realise that the opinions of other people are very much of no importance unless they are from people who have been proved right on a regular basis and for whom I have a lot of respect.

When you're in the midst of being a young kid you automatically seek the approval of others. Kids are easily peer pressured too; saying and doing so much around other people trying to win over their approval and gain acceptance.

Opinions vary, and sometimes it doesn't matter how right you may be, you will automatically not be accepted by particular groups of people simply because that's life. I've learnt to be confident and comfortable with who I am regardless of what other people think of me. :D

What worried me more was that's exactly what ROK shouted on one occasion to our midfield at one stage when we were about 35 yards away from goal.
