Welcome to League One, Mr. MacGillivray :D
Swindon goalkeeper sent off (foul) - sub keeper comes on and saves the penalty, still Swindon 0 Orient 0

WALSALL NOW 2-2..............................
also.... Swindon Town 0 Leyton Orient 1 (which lifts Orient out of the mire and drops Notts County down into it)
MK Dons now 4-0 against Yeovil, and it's not half-time yet!! (scorer, a certain W. Grigg)

Re: Bristol City (A) League One, Sun 3 May, 12.15pm
Smith's stumbled on another formation, BUT will he be bold/brave enough to keep it at the beginning of next season? Not sure, as quite frequently I suspect we would be picked off defensively against the better teams. 13 goals in 5 games...brillant. The only downside is, 9 goals from the wing for Hiwula now, means we have absolutely NO chance of a season long loan next year.
Annoyingly.
Hope Smith don't lose O'Donnell, Hiwula and Bradshaw this summer. Not quite the same, but that would be Brandy - Paterson - Grigg all over again. Get on the phone to City during this half time break!

Why so negative Sadders? I don't think Dean has stumbled on this formation...he signed Hiwula, brought Morris back from Wrexham and at long last has a fit Bradshaw. Why do you think Hiwula won't be here next year? He may be! I am optimistic about the future and think that we will carry this form into next season.Don't forget either we have an abundance of young talent available as well.

Early in the second half we have Crawley 1 Coventry City 0
I think that lifts Crawley out of the brown stuff and pushes Leyton Orient back into it..... (edit) Swindon 0 Orient 2 now, but it may not save them.
Attendance at Ashton Gate 11,960

Hiwula is murdering them on the break. Nearly had a hattrick.
Bristol 3-2 on the break.

3-2 now :( :(
Gillingham 0 Notts County 1 .... which I think pushes Crewe Alex below the line.
Edit.... it's now Bristol City 4 Walsall 2 :( :( :( :( :(
Time for a couple of substitutions perhaps?

Clinical finishing from Bristol as they've been doing all season. 4-2.

Re: Bristol City (A) League One, Sun 3 May, 12.15pm
I've been more positive than most all season, I'm just saying. 9 goals in a few months from the wing for an 18-19 year old winger on loan from a Premier League club? That's attracted attention. What if Bradshaw leaves in the summer? O'Donnell is already gone. Not saying we won't have all 3, I am saying it would be annoying as hell for Smith if that happened.
As I said, will Smith have the bottle to play like this all season next year? Not sure. You either win 5-2, or lose 5-2.
Talking of 5-2's.
Least we went and attacked them, the correct atittude for a dead rubber end of season game.

6-2, the team gave up for the season after 50 minutes.
People wanted more goals though.

In fairness, today was a dead rubber against the Champions. We went and attacked, took a risk and now we are seeing the flipside. If we had gone and scored again, we may have gone on to win by a couple and everyone is saying 'result of the century, buzzing for next year' etc. As it is, we have been picked off by top of the league, who will be fine in the Championship next season. Sooner this that go there 4-5-1 and lose 2-0 without having a meaningful shot on target.

Crawley 1 Coventry City 1 now
Walsall triple substitution sees Downing, Sawyers and Taylor coming on for Benning, Cain and Purkiss.

I don't think it was a dead rubber for Bristol. Like Southampton the other year, it's party time
