Swindon Town (A) League One Tues Apr 21 7.45pm
As we look down from our lofty 15th position in the table, it's off to Swindon to try out our away strip again. Currently 4th on 76 points Swindon are guaranteed a play-off place but automatic promotion seems out of the question after they achieved the almost impossible feat of losing at home to doomed Yeovil Town yesterday. Top scorer Andy Williams (20 goals) was only used as a substitute in that game, which prompted manager Mark Cooper to comment When you have that many players off colour you can't expect to win a game." Long may that continue.......Swindon's form:
17 Mar Doncaster Rovers (A) Won 1-2
4 Apr M K Dons (H) Lost 0-3
7 Apr Bristol City (A) Lost 3-0
11 Apr Peterborough United (H) Won 1-0
14 Apr Rochdale (A) Won 2-4
18 Apr Yeovil Town (H) Lost 0-1
Dean Smith should have a full squad available, and it just depends which Saddlers' eleven turn up (Crawley or Crewe). We often do well in this fixture, and we do have a point to prove after allowing Swindon to win 1-4 at the Banks's's' in December. Tom Bradshaw scored for us on that day, and a repeat would be acceptable as long as our defence turns up!! We didn't have Jordy Hiwula for that game, so let's predict a 0-2 win, with Tom and Jordy scoring. :D
(Edit....the South Wales contingent of chestersaddler, Welsh_Saddler and possibly SWS1 will be in attendance, if that helps!!)

Shame this is midweek as would've liked to have ticked a visit to the County ground off the list. Oh well will have to wait for next season....perhaps. I do fancy they might go up via the play offs and judging by yesterday's result they seem to be saving themselves for that.
Just to be different and out there.....1-1.

Really frustrated this is a mid week game, I'm only an hour and a half away (in traffic) but will be working late tomorrow, psh!
I did see the fixture that caused this to be a midweek game of course, Wembley was a nice ground!
Anyway. I think we'll win this, 1 - 2. Andy Williams for them (because) and a Bradshaw brace for us. I think we'll win on Saturday too. I don't acknowledge Bristol City as a team any more so that's the end of the season :D !! Especially after Wembley when a City fan mistook me for one of them (top of scarf showing) and said: "Great win, wasn't it?!"

I always look forward to going to this fixture, but I'm unable to do so tonight as I'm recovering from an eye operation that was undertaken yesterday, so another Saddler less than normal :( .
For the record, I'll say Swindon 2-1, but I would not be surprised if we get something from this - we have a decent record at the County Ground.
150 Saddlers to see it.

BBC stats ain't working , but from the text commentary it's one way traffic...not in a good way.
After watching us struggle against Crewe on Saturday, to come away with a result would be monumental......we live in hope. (after all Yeovil did it!)
Stats now working, and it's 74% possession to Swindon!!! could be a long night........

Walsall on top at the moment and Bradshaw has just gone close. Morris is "looking handy" according to Radio Swindle.

Listening to the commentary it seems like the players are all working as a team and attacking with purpose. Yet the "boy wonder" Sawyers is not even in the squad. I hope he never steps his lazy feet back in it either!

Sawyers is on what is probably the strongest bench of the season.
Adam Chambers having an excellent game according to WM, playing as the attacking midfielder tonight.

Whisper it quietly but just need a Franchise goal tonight and into the top half for the first time in ages.
I can see you hiding in the corner Ancient frantically betting on Swindon to win 3-2......
