The BBC website preview of the game reckons that Garner, Hugill and Little (14 goals between them) won't be fit to play. Beckford is recovering from an ear infection and hopes to play. Stuckmann probably in goal because Sam Johnstone is confirmed as being cup-tied.
James O'Connor is available, having recovered from the nasty head injury sustained against Colchester.

Well Preston have Man Utd (or D.D's Cambridge) if they beat Sheffield Utd. Should provide a welcome distraction. :D

well here we go the day has arrived.
so so nervous about this
no matter what happens weve had a good cup run but I don't know how I can live with myself if we don't go through.
bookies have us as the outsiders in the 90 minutes but preston 6/1 to qualify.
cant do anymore now all we can do is give the team all weve got in support for the duration of match.

The butterflies kicked in yesterday, dreamt about the game last night, we were 2-0 up before I woke up. That would do nicely, have a good day everyone and see you all there this evening, lets give it some welly.

Once more unto the Bescot, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
Or close the wall up with our English dead.

Can't concentrate I'm so nervous. This is how I felt before the Southampton game a few years back but with an extra dollop of "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
C'mon Walsall, we can do this. *praying*

Sitting at work, rocking backwards and forwards on my chair like a lunatic. Absolutely pumped, yet bricking it at the same time.

Does anyone know for sure if away goals rule counts? Keep hearing different things.

This season we've taken the lead in 12 games and gone on to win 11 of them, losing once to Oldham. (And only conceded 5, 2 of which were Oldham.)
Not tempting fate, honest. Just sayin is all.

After a trip to a Preston forum I'm genuinely suprised how confident they are, and not in a way thats disrespectful to us.
The general consensus is getting one goal, even late on, will make our fans nervous and the boys crumble under all the pressure thats on them. Getting goals isn't something they struggle with.
