Ex-Saddler Kevan Hurst on the bench for Southend. Remember him?

Talking of ex-Saddlers on the bench......George Bowerman is there for Accrington Stanley at Leeds, and Alex Nicholls is in the sub line-up for Northampton Town at the Custard Factory (half-time there 0-0  )

The Dingles have had 3 "goals" disallowed
Wonder if the ref is a Baggie

1-0 half time.
The worry being that we are getting statistically battered by as a Southend forum member stated 'Southend B'.
Hmm.

With a total of 10 fouls in the first half (5 for each side) and 3 bookings, it sounds as this ref is a bit too severe. It might be worth Deano considering a couple of substitutions, if only to minimise the risk of red cards which would mean certain suspension!!

Hmm.
According to the BBC stat suppliers, Walsall have had 57% of the possession. However, Sarfend have had 12 shots to our 3, with both sides having had 2 on target.

We've only really got Holden and Clifford to bring on, the rest of the bench is very inexperienced.
If it's a draw at 90 minutes, then it goes to extra time, something else Dean will need to consider (I'm sure he'd want to avoid extra time, with the risk of more bookings and fatigue)

This sounds familiar....
23:21
Attempt missed. Ashley Hemmings (Dagenham and Redbridge) right footed shot from the centre of the box is too high.
Dagenham & Redbridge 2 Brentford 3

Would have to be Holden and Clifford or Flanagan, leaving one late sub spot.

That's a good 1,000 more than we'd get if the game had been at the Bezla.

Bollocks
1-1 freekick from southend.
Worried statistically and commentary suggests they've been all over us come on boys we can get the lead back!

Stats/reports/Walsall Twitter/Bet365 has shown the entire match being virtually all them.

On the plus side, Birmingham are drawing against Cambridge at home. Reckon the winless at home run will stay?

I wonder if Smith is going to keep to his "THE FIRST GOAL IS MOST IMPORTANT" philosophy this season
