I'm not surprised considering how much they've spent.
Extraordinary game at the Custard Bowl  .

We WILL win a match B4 the end of the season....we'll beat Colchester in the last fixture....and send them down into the 4th Division...would be just our luck..
Lets see what happens in the close season, mind you we'll have to wait until 7 days B4 kick off of course, when the dregs that are left without a club grab a lifeline at the Bonks's's. :(

Best bit about today was that I never got charged on the train, and managed to get a lift back to Kendal with a Carlisle mate.
The football was crap though.

Kieron Morris played all of 15 minutes and produced the best corner I have seen Walsall take all season.

Utter garbage in the first half and an improvement in the second, but still not a performance that fills me with too much confidence. Let's hope the players were taking it a bit easy with the season basically being over, we basically just need this campaign to end now and start the re-building job.
O'Donell 6 - One good save and unlucky for the goal
J.Chambers 6 - Madine was targeting him, but he stood up to it pretty well
Butler 6 - Was a threat at corners, thought he was lucky to get away without punishment after a bit of argy bargy with a Carlisle player though
Downing 6 - Decent, but doesn't seem quite as assured as he used to be
Taylor 5 - Bit off the pace today I thought
Chambers 5 - Game seemed to pass him by
Manton 6 - Not at his very best but unlucky to see a shot hit the post
McQuilkin 5 - Didn't make much of an impact from out wide
Baxendale 5 - I like him but he was very poor today. Spent most of the first half on the left and his only contribution was to pass back to Taylor whenever he got the ball. Looks shorn of confidence
Sawyers 6 - Such a frustrating player, looked our biggest threat at times, but got caught on the ball numerous times. I think he would be a much better player if he was just a fraction quicker when trying to play that killer ball.
Brandy 6 - Worked hard as usual, not sure being up top alone suits him though.
Ngoo 7 - He scored!
Morris 6 - Barely touched the ball, but created the goal with his corner.
Bakayoko - Not sure if he had a touch at all, but he wasn't on for long.

If we had Alan Buckley in the side (even at his age now, probably  ) we'd walk this league. All we need is someone who knows the way to goal. What's Kevin Phillips doing next season???

The season fizzled out and this game reflects that.
I'm more interested in how McQuilkin, Morris and Bakayoko did to be honest. Any potential going forward?

It's quite well made but that video is clearly a fake as it shows us scoring from a corner.

Typical end-of-season game between a team going nowhere, who had nothing to play for, and a desperately poor team trying to stave off the threat of relegation - in short, not one for the connoisseur!
I'm pleased, for Ngoo, that he scored. He deserves that for never hiding and always putting a shift in.

Not really much to care about from our side, disappointing end to the season.
On the plus side, that late goal might be enough to send Carlisle down. Good.

I'm the bloke right in front of the camera who throws odd kind of looking punches when we scored

I have a long time dislike of Carlisle, well since 95 anyway.
We one had to piss in a radiator on the way back from a game, was superb until he put the heaters on !
