2-1 Kelly to score a penalty, Jones to get stretchered off and 12000 or so to turn up

Walsall 3 - 0 Notts County
Absolute Gung ho performance with 3 first half goals. Westcarr, Lalkovic and Butler with the goals.
Football league officials at half time rush the championship trophy to the Banks on the basis that no other club can feasibly win the league this season with such sexy football being displayed in the West Midlands.
Will Grigg shortly afterwards announces his retirement from the game, stating personal circumstances. Febian Brandy tweets a selfy of himself wearing a stitched back together Walsall shirt claiming his United contract to be a farce and that Walsall is where his heart has always been.

No we haven't, i've looked at all our seasons under sir Ray and Bury weren't in our league! First season under sir Ray we played 5 games and at least one of those was a draw before losing to Man City and the second season we had in division 2 (now league 1) we drew in the first 4 games and the championship season we had under him there's no way Bury were that high in the league pyramid. So to answer your question if we win on Saturday we will make history by winning our first 4 competitive games. We did it in the 20's I think but those were war time games

I don't suppose Forest Green found Hyde particularly tough opponents last weekend??

W-a-W is right on this. In our second promotion season 2000/01 under Sir RG we won the first 5 league games, followed by that disappointing 2-0 defeat at Bury [I was there, unfortunately]. The results were:
A Rotherham 3-2
H OLDHAM 3-2 [5,952]
A Swindon 4-1
H OXFORD 3-2 [5,678]
H WIGAN 2-0 [7,156]

I was wrong (technically) cos we drew the first leg of the league cup with Kiddy. However we did win the first 5 league games of the 2000/2001 season, and we did have our first defeat away to Bury ( I was there I know) So get off your high horse and put your reading specs on.
I didn't need to check (nor did I bother) but I await a Sadlad newspaper cutting to confirm

It's to show that not every game is tough, I wouldn't call an 8-0 win a tough game! I wonder if Arbroath found it a tough game when they beat Bon Accord 36-0?

Re: Notts County (H) League One - 17 Aug 2013
Yes we drew a game, 1-1 with Kiddy at home in the League Cup, so as I said technically speaking you are right we will make history on Saturday if we win.
However what I said was right, we won 5 in a row from the start of the season, and lost the sixth at Bury 2-0.
The fact you went away and researched this and came back with a load of fabrication, point blank claiming I was totally wrong, that we never played Bury, and drew the first 4 games etc etc, in your arsey tone, which you seem to use quite often that peed me off. I guess being from Wolverhampton has that kind of affect on a brain, so we shall say no more about it.

It's hard to say which is the most depressing of those statements to be honest

A trick to avoid it, is to not gob off like you've just eaten period blood.
As a son of Willenhall, he should know better.

Tough game, despite them having no points on the board. We should fear no one at the minute so going for a tight 2-1 victory, Mantom and Sawyers with the goals. Attendance: 5,138 (724 visitors).
