Whenever I've seen Reece, he seemed like a ball-playing midfielder who needs a Mantom or a Chambers to do the nitty-gritty around him. Featherstone can also pick a pass so I think that there are options in the middle of the park with those four and I can see Flanagan making the bench and perhaps going out on loan 'to toughen him up' if anyone else comes in.
I don't want to heap pressure on the young lad, but one of my favourite players from yesteryear was the immensely talented Alex Taylor. My dad never forgave Stoke City for the game in which he was clattered.
I would suggest that Reece can slowly be brought in to the first-team set up; having said that, Will Hughes at Derby was blooded in by Nigel Clough and he is now one of the hottest prospects outside the Premier League.
