Crewe Alexandra (A), League One 27/4/13
The last League One game of a roller-coaster of a season sees us visiting the Railwaymen of Crewe, with whom we've had many friendly (and some not-so-friendly) jousts over the years.
After their midweek win against Sheffield United, Crewe are 13th in the table, on 61 points. Their home League One record this season reads:
Won 11
Drawn 3
Lost 8
Goal tally 24-22.
Crewe's last six games:
Sheffield United April 23rd (H) Won 1-0
Yeovil Town April 20th (A) Lost 1-0
Swindon Town April 16th (A) Lost 4-1
Doncaster Rovers April 13th (H) Lost 1-2
Brentford April 10th (H) Lost 0-2
Preston North End April 1st (H) Won 1-0
Just because they're fielding an entire team of their own academy graduates, don't assume it'll be easy for us!! It's a bit of a meaningless fixture for both sides, and I would expect an end-of-term 2-2 draw.

High scoring free wheeler with no obvious need for either team to worry.
Crwho 2-5 Walsall

My prediction is that the away contingent will drink more than the home contingent

To keep up with my 100% success rate:-
4-0 Geno P to have a stormer and Fred Barber to don a mask play centre forward for the last 10 :D
3680 (1845 awesome & slightly inebriated delirious UTS's)
Score line is a sideline
Singing and merriment is the order of the day!!!
Inflatables up up up and away :D :D :D

A 2-2 draw [Brandy, Grigg] in front of 6,419, including 1,799 Saddlers.

6-0 Walsall to confirm our sexual predatory dominance.
Will Grigg to score a double Hattrick in the first six minutes.
I will miss them all as I will still be in the boozer with serveral others.

None of that singing today brummie. Some of us prefer silence and prefer a snooze during the game, especially WaW.

Was in bed nice and early for once last night, so I may stay awake, but I am making no promises.

Last time I went to Crewe, I got to give Tom Bennett dogs abuse for one of the least effective midfield performances ever.
Great days.
Great days.

2-0 Crewe. So much for the determination to end the season on a high and keep the unbeaten run going to the end.

I'm ending the season on a high note by listening to the Wolves get relegated :D

Finished 2-0. Disappointing to end that unbeaten run and finally finish 3 points below Orient and particularly 2 points below MKD. But that's just a pride thing, it's still been a great 4-5 months.

Lets be honest, we were due a defeat, and we seemed to play more poorly in the last few games.
Great season, drivel result, but im sure the 1900 saddlers will be too wasted to care. I dread to think what state some are in

I'm sure you're right LC, they'll have had a great day out at Gresty Road, and yes we have slipped these last 4-5 weeks (except vs Coventry) with wins being reduced to draws and now this defeat today.

Re: Crewe Alexandra (A), League One 27/4/13
Disappointed to lose to the Football League's 'best little club' [copyright CAFC] after we appeared to dominate the first hour or so in terms of shots on target, with Brandy hitting a post.
A great second half of the season that has sadly petered out in the last few weeks, but 1 defeat in 16 games is hardly a cause for complaint.
At least the plight of Wolves is the gift that keeps on giving. Here's hoping that we have to tolerate a visit to Mordor next season.
An amazing end at Griffin Park too, as Brentford miss a penalty [hitting the bar with the goalkeeper beaten] in the 90+4 minute, and, just to rub it in, Donny break away to score at the other end. It's a cruel, cruel game.
