We needn't bother - he's gone back to MK Dons now, hasn't he?!

No hes signed on a permanent deal today, apparently.

He has. I was right at the time of writing though.

Does that mean I've got the gift of prophesy???? Quick, where's the nearest lottery ticket retailer....

Kind of odd going in to games expecting to win. Play anywhere near the way we played at MK or Preston and a win should be ours. Got a feeling we may have to settle for a draw in this one, which truth be told isn't a bad result.

To fulfil my prediction of 10 or 11 points from the Preston-Bournemouth-Colchester mini run I'll be looking for us to take a maximum five-point haul from this game. Would settle for four but anything less and I'm afraid Smith will have a lot of questions to answer.

Last time we went into games expecting to win we went 16 without one

Be nice to continue the winning run but would tek a point

Win at home and a point away = playoffs or auto promo. Simples. Would settle for the point - but, obviously, would be DELIRIOUS with 3. :D

Anyone heard how the pitch is?? Must be in some doubt.

Then again close to coast, so may be ok.

It's all going to fudge off (snow that is) by the weekend apparently so should be good to go.

Smith and Watkiss to field a team comprised entirely of ex-Walsall centre halves.

Colchester 1 - 6 Walsall

Roy McDonough for them, Mountfield, Methven, Viveash, Barass & The Very Reverend Peter Hart (2) for the Saddlers.

I'm not going now so probably a Colchester win as my jumper finally runs out of luck :(

Better put some money on Colchester at 2/1 for the home win. We'll miss Brandy and O'Kelly.

Not done much, since he rolled the ball along the line at Anfield to be fair.

Yeah. The brandy at half time will be missed and not having O'Kelly in the side is a real bummer. Derrrr!

I know what you mean. It's a really good test for us and it would be unbelievable if we won every game of what used to be our bogey month, but it does stink of a banana skin.

Certainly does.

However, I am going to be optimistic and say 3 -1 to us. Grigg, Paterson and Baxendale. Jabo to get an injury time consolation goal and recieve warm applause from the travelling 200 Saddlers.

I'm parked at the keyboard, waiting for the team announcement.....just think, if we win today and at the same time Preston beat Coventry, we'll climb to 7th in the table. Ooo-errrr
