We're all on the same side, so can't we just enjoy yesterday for what it was rather than scoring silly points off one another?
:? :? :?
Its about to!!

I personally think Jimmy Mullen has made a massive difference.
Ask yourself these questions;
How often under Money did we play with two, out and out wing men?
How often under Money have we seen Dobson playing just in front of the defence playing simple passes?
How often under Money have we seen overlapping full backs and scintilating wing play?
How often have we seen Money in a suit?
I think Mullen has obviously brought one hell of a lot to the club [that and the addition of two mobile players in the middle of the park], the all round performance today was simply excellent, and couldn't be more of a contrast to the last home game.
Mullen spent the whole game barking out instructions, and Im sorry to say but we werent 'fine' before, because before, even our away performances weren't this professional. Before, we couldn't string two passes together, before, dobson was finding himself trying to play the final ball, before, we had no pace on the wings, before, wing backs didn't overlap, before, midfield men didn't get up in support of the front men.
There were so many facets of todays performance, and that made the big difference, people forget easily how clueless and one dimensional we have been at times under Money, but with an experienced man beside him we're terrific, we now terrorise teams down the wings, we have money posing a threat, we can keep the ball etc etc.
Superb performance, and in my view shows just how much we were missing two things: An experienced coach/assistant, and mobility in midfield.

Really, well funny that because those disagreeing, only seem to be doing so and then posting their typical non-sensical drivel, nothing is being said about the tactics.
That performance yesterday was brilliant because of the way we used the ball, we passed it well, kept it down, kept it well, used the wings, our full backs overlapped brilliantly, thus stretching their wing backs and wide midfielders. That never has been Moneys style of football, that team wasn't a typical money team, with two quick and tricky wide men.
Think back to how we have played for nearly all of Moneys matches? Balls down the channel for Butler to run on to, with our slow wide men struggling to keep up, with weak and slow central midfielders, only sparingly using Ishmel, and struggling to get the ball at his feet when we did.
I'll say it again, Yesterdays match was like chalk and cheese with the majority of Money's matches, the tactics, movement and use of the ball was wholly different. If you can't see that, you're either blind, or stupid. Or both.

Or.....someone who doesn't get to many away games

I don't think Money didn't want an assistant. I don't think that was an issue. I've said before that I think it's more to do with him being allowed one.
KJC wrote:Phil, Mullen was appointed on Friday 28th September... thats right, 9 days ago.
If you are seriously suggesting that our upturn in fortunes is completely down to him, then I'd suggest that he ought to be in the running for the Chelsea job.
Yes, Mullen is a welcome addition to our backroom team and will no doubt prove to be an asset ... but if he is THAT good, why on earth has he been wasting his time in a BMW showroom.

Lets all enjoy the fact he's got an assistant and we are now competing at an higher level then were before DD took over.
Geordiesaddler wrote:I'm amazed that with nearly 12000 posts between you, you guys still havn't cottoned on to how this works.
Look its simple.
Philthesaddler is a self-proclaimed football visionary, he has forgotton what us mere supporters could only ever hope to know about football.
It doesn't matter what happens on the pitch, Phil doesn't rate DD ok??
Ok Ok I tell a lie It does mater If something bad happens then obviously its all down to DD, because remember Phil doesn't rate him.
But if something good happens, eg winning a championship for the first time in 45 years, geting promoted at the first attempt, winning games in style at the higher level, signing fantastic players etc etc then we have to seek out some circumstancial variable to attribute this to, because remember......Phil doesn't rate DD.
Now do you follow??
Also watch out for the ocassional wild-card, as now and again Phil will post something like "we should have signed Spencer Weir Daley", this is just "a joke". Now you might think of a joke as being like a short funny story that makes people laugh, it isn't ok?
Well not on here anyway.
I havn't quite worked out what it is mind, a bit like the meaning of life, but I know what it isn't. And anyhow come the glorious day Phil will enlighten us all so there's actually no need for anyone else to have an opinion about anything.
Hope that helps.

13) Critisised fans reaction forum.
14) Ex-player blasts club
15) The exciting strikefore lie thread.
16) Ex-player doesn't blast club, but surely there must be more to it thread.

I was gonna say pretty much the same myself. Great to have an assistant for Dicky, but I'm pretty sure DD is still the man in charge and making the ultimate decisions over players, team, formation etc, no matter how much Mullen 'suggests' to him.
Looking forward to Friday night immensely. Hope Geordie is there and then we can all chant, "Geordie, give us a wave, Geordie Geordie, give us a wave", closely followed by "there's only oooooooooone Phil the Saddler, oooooooooooone Phil the Saddler, moaning along, claiming all has gone wrong, whilst we're living in a Dicky Doshy land"!!

It will all end in tears, and I'll remind you all about it when it does - maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.
What makes you say that :?:
