Hoping we can sneak a 1-0 but will be chuffed with a point. Given who's their manager, a win would be nearly as sweet as beating MK Franchise on their own patch.

I was expecting a draw but seeing the stats and remembering how we played against them earlier in the season makes me think a scrappy 1-0 or 2-0 isn't out of our grasp.
Would be fantastic to take 3 pts off the teams around us but I would take a draw
Official prediction
1-0 in front of 350 saddlers fans

At those prices I would expect around 12,000+ for this, as they get 8-9,000 on a regular basis without such an offer. I'll say a 2-1 defeat [Westcarr for us] with around 450 Saddlers in a decent, cut price admission, crowd.

I'll take a draw, but as ever I'll hope for a win.

Forget Sunday lunch with your wife, get yourself down to Preston, in fact throw her in the boot and take her with you, to watch this fine Walsall team come of age.
It will be a show like you have never seen before, 5-0 with total football, in front of the 7000 traveling Saddlers fans, who will sing from the first whistle (okay probably not cos they don't really do kick offs) to the last, without a single moan or groan to be heard.
Dean Smith will show a tactical master class, whilst the Real Madrid fans sing Ugly Dean Smithio to Jose Mourinho, Our saviour Jeff Bonser will be drafting up a 17 year extension to Deano's contract.
Taundry will be bought on with 10 minutes left, to complete the show boat.
So confident I am in this, no alcohol will pass my lips, I want to remember this game for years to come, as the day we got our Walsall back.

Re: Preston North End (A) League 1 Sunday 13/1/13.
I think we'll go there full of confidence after our festive haul of 12 points. I was thinking we'd get a draw but Preston will be knackered after playing Cov on Thursday, Brandy Paterson and Taundry will run them ragged (OK perhaps not Taundry). 2-1 to the mighty Saddlers with 750 of us going up for the cheap away day.

Because they're playing tonight in some obscure competition called the Tinpot Trophy. Apparently you have to "win" games to advance through "rounds" in a "knockout" competition. odd concept that we're not too familiar with.

Thanks Exile.
You're right, it does sound strange. Maybe it's a Northern thing.

Re: Preston North End (A) League 1 Sunday 13/1/13.
A win all the way
They have only scored 3 in goals in there last 6 games so clean sheet number 3 for Darlow on the trot
We've scored at least 1 in each of the last 8 so it has to be
PNE 0 v 2 Walsall FC -
Brandy again to open the scoring, Westcarr to notch a late late late second to clinch it (with the exception MK Dons who he only ever appeared as a sub for we are the only club he has played for where he has not scored) - this is of course assuming he signs this week
420 Saddlers to follow Cullys sweater up the M6
9,123 in attendance
13th place awaits (the true spot of mid table mediocrity we all yearn for)

The loan was not registered with the relevant authorities on time and therefore sobriety is ineligable for this match
