This weekend sees the first round of the FA Cup and with it comes our 'sister' prediction competition to the League One competition.
It follows a slightly different format, but hopefully all will take part in it this season (prediction thread now up and running).
This thread will have the updated table in after each round.
To remind everyone how last season's comp finished, here is the table after the final (just shows I can actually do this predicting thing!)
*Mods, can you please make this a sticky like the other prediction league table thread? Ta!
F.A. Cup Prediction League 2012-13!
Threads that have run on UpTheSaddlers that might or might not be worth keeping...

Some super ties and some good shocks in the FA Cup this weekend!
Here is the table after R1, although the postponed game between Braintree and Tranmere still needs to be played which will affect Asps' and Cowshed''s scores when done.
The week's winner was Morty with 5 points, welldone mate!
The second round is at the start of December so look out for the prediction threadwithin the week leading up to the ties. In the meantime, league action carries on!

Here is the updated table after Round 2 of the FA Cup this weekend. Some very good scores with the two winners being Wyrley Saddler and Morty with 5 points. Well done both. It is the second round in a row that Morty has won with 5 points! A definite cup expert!!
Cumbria could well have won with 6 points but only predicted the outcome of the games without an actual scoreline, so only scored 3 points - d'oh!
There are three predictors with the postponed Barrow v Macclesfield game to come, which is being played on 11th Dec. Table to be updated again after that.
The third round looks pretty juicy, so look out for the prediction thread in the week just after New Year before the games on 5th Jan!

No change to the table above as no-one scored anything from the postponed Barrow v Macclesfield tie.
Next round is next Saturday, so will post the thread for prediction after the New Year's Day games.

Here is the R3 table after the games played last Sat-Monday. Some great games and scorelines and some good scoring by predictors too! The winner of the round was Tyldesley Saddler with a very impressive 7 points - well done! It has sent him rocketing up the table and is becoming a good battle up there.
Round 4 takes place 25th-27th Jan so the prediction thread will be up at the start of the week leading up to it. There will be a league 1 prediction week then as well, so look out for both the threads.

Here is the R4 table after a very exhilarating weekend of FA cup action - shocks galore! One of them, which we all smiled at (!) and was predicted by many, proved to be a good source of points. The winner of the week, though, was Saigon Saddler with 5 points - well done mate!
The table is getting nice and tight at the top so all to play for as we head into the later rounds. The 5th round begins on Sat 16th Feb, so look out for the thread in the week leading up to it.

Updated table after round 5. Pretty low scores this round as so many of the games didn't go as predicted (some say the magic of the cup!) so winning score was 2 points, scored by Wyrley Saddler and Donnington Saddler, well done.
That leaves Wyrley at the top of the table heading into the QF round! That will be a straight 4 game predict the score round, no more need for shock, away, home and draw.

Here is the table after the Quarter Finals. Pretty even scoring so not much movement but Wyrley Saddler won it with 3 points, well done.
The semi final round is double points round so still lots to play for!

Updated table after the semi finals last weekend. With double points on offer, there were some good scores, and the winning score was 6 points, achieved by Asps and Wyrley Saddler, well done you two! Sadly, a number of people, who had predicted every round, decided not to bother with the semis, which was a shame, but this has meant quite a bit of movement in the table. Wyrley still leads the way.
See you on May 11th for the final!
