Formalised league tables will be available for weeks 34-36 asap, with a provisional target of Friday PM.

I sent Bart a pm with my predictions last week.

2-1 scores for the first 3 predictions on the list.

I trust you will include my points in your update.

Keep up the good work!!

Hi Bart,

I am away for a long weekend from tomorrow.

If there is a predictions league this weekend, please put me down for 2-1 for each of the first 3 matches on the list.

Cheers Bart!

I'll add the points to the next table Asps!

Nope, it's not the same without the neutral belgian presiding.

I may have to withdraw if this nonsensical chaos reigns.

No, just find it offensive that after a contentious week of picks where the post came up late Friday night NZ time, saigon appears to have assumed control, especially after his extremely partisan posts on same subject where he'd support whatever position suited him.

Sorry, but it's not on. It's really not on.

A fairly low scoring week with not a lot of movement, mainly thanks to big let downs against our relegation rivals by Bournemouth and Brentford :x HK probably the big winner and enjoying a little more comfort room at the top.....

Top scores by HK, Casual D and Welsh Saddler with 3 points. Two zeros from Duke and Swiftyboy. Asps scored one this week but 2 points added from the PM he sent Bart for the previous round. The next round to be played on Saturday 16th April and only four prediction weeks after that!

The precise method of ranking predictors is something that only myself, Bart and a few Tibetan wise men know. Suffice to say that it requires the blood of 500 oxen, 12 bat kidneys, half an ounce of Steve Bull's brain tissue and 60 kgs of Dolly mixture to work out. It will not directly concern Manchester for some time......

Were any of the matches last night pp games Saigon? The latest tables seem to have lost all the asterisks people had and I know a number of people had 1 or 2 asterisks to catch up on.

In another daliance with Whooshdom, are you really upset at me 'assuming control' or just messing about? The only sin I have appeared to commit is answering Bart within 10 minutes of his message that he couldn't continue and saying that I would take over until the end of the season. It is impossible for me to cheat, molest or otherwise disfigure the table as 'player X' would instantly state that they got 3 points, instead of the 2 I gave, or whatever.

Furthermore the pantomine act of 'evil villian' is exactly that, hence the Dick Dastardly picture. I regularly accuse Manchester of using shrunken heads and other powerful totums with which to 'cheat' and other assorted wild accusations to a few others. Then there are the outlandish rants and other 'amusing' bits that have been going on for 5 years. I would be surprised if anyone actually took them seriously. So I have taken over and mimicked Bart as closely as possible in the table with all the information I have at my disposal. The table is accurate, so I find it unclear why anyone would throw a wobbler over 'me' doing it. Presumably, 'someone' has to do it?

The only information available to me is that recorded on here when I 'assumed control', namely weeks 34, 35 and 36. None of the other information I have any knowledge of, namely missing week 33 and any/all of the * games of which I know some people had a load. I think we may have to forgo that lot and just carry on as is. Everyone is in the same boat, so to speak, so those are the breaks on that one.

Question and answer session:

Why are you doing the Prediction league?
Because Bart said he couldn't carry on with it for the moment, and I took it on.

Who is Bart?
Bart is Flemish Saddler.

I think I should have more points than I've got.
No you shouldn't.

Really?
Yes.

Why is this week 38, when only 37 games have been played, etc?
Because Week 33 went missing along with all the scores. I took it on when only weeks 34 and 35 were still on the board, the others having dropped off at that time.

I don't like you and I think you smell.
Tough.

I don't like you either, when's Bart coming back?
I really don't know, but considering he has done the league immaculately for 5 years, I'm guessing it's something substantial. For the moment, you're stuck with me.

I had 19 stars next to my name, now there are none, why?
I have no information on the postponed games that people made, because I only took it on from week 34.

My league position is dreadful since you took over and you are to blame.
No, I'm not. Perhaps you should predict better results.

I have an extra 12 points from all the postponed games that were played recently, will you add them on?
No.

Why not?
Because I have no information about them.

Damn!
Yep, sorry about that, but your hated rival probably had the same.

I am King Crimson, can I win the league?
Yes, but you need a late spurt and it's pretty unlikely.

I am Manchester Saddler, why am I so low in the league?
You had a bad start and lack the skill or luck to pull yourself into a decent position, like 7th.

I don't like the font you're using.
I tried to match it with Bart's font but I was using Microsoft Works and it doesn't seem to have it. I'm using Times New Roman.

Are you an atheist?
Yes.

Why don't you believe in God?
I haven't got time to answer that here, have you got any prediction league related queries?

No.
OK.

There is one God and his name is Allah, Mohammed is his prophet, do you agree?
No.

You're going to hell!
I don't agree.

When can we expect a new league table?
Might be a slight delay as I'm in South Korea, but I have brought a memory stick with the table on, so I'll do it asap.

What are you doing in South Korea?
I'm on holiday.

Is it good?
Yes, really safe and quite interesting.

I'm HK saddler, will I win the league?
I'd say it's yours to lose at this point.

I have a long rambling question about something unrelated, can you answer it?
No, I'm going out to enjoy my holiday, see you soon.

tl;dr: The brothel owner chucked him out.

I am ssincerely glad tbat saigon has taken this on. I can think of no other person more suited to the role of megalomaniacal officious jobbsworth than he. I can pick safe in the knowledge that in the event of any dispute my protestations will be met with stony silence, my arguments unheard and my logic ignored. It's the CAGW thread all over again.

I got muntered and forgot last week by the way. No ulterior motive or sour grapes!

Question and answer session 2, the reprise.

One question I have about the table.
Go on.

Why isn't it in alphabetical order like Bart used to do?
No he didn't.

But I thought.....
No, Bart didn't do it in alphabetical order, it's about cutting and pasting in the most convenient way. So a block of say, four predictors would get moved as a block, resulting in others jumping over them or sliding in beneath them.

My name is Aardvark Saddler, why aren't I top of my own little group on 62 points?
It doesn't matter what your name is - it's not alphabetical.

I'm joint 7th but I'm listed as being 10th, what is the meaning of this outrage?
You are joint 7th, you know you are joint 7th, but I'm not going to mess around with the rankings on a weekly basis. On the final table you will be listed as 'joint 7th', if that's where you end up.

Why are you so beastly to Manchester Saddler?
Beastly? Did you go to public school?

No. Answer the question!
Manchester and I take the wee out of each other on a regular basis, anyway he started it.

I'm worried that you will cheat and be unfair.
How can I possibly cheat? Also, what would I possibly gain from cheating or being unfair to anyone? I'm not interested in gaining an unfair advantage.

I have a brilliant way of cheating and no-one would suspect a thing, I'll tell you for 30 quid.
PM me and let's talk!

I am thinking about predicting after the kick off, what happens?
Why would you do that? Any prediction made after the kickoff is null and void. Although predictions made for 3pm games would be OK if one game kicked off at 12.30.

I have accidentally spilt red wine on a carpet, what do I do?
Salt I think, or is that blood?

Who is the best predictor?
Don't know, but some are more consistent year on year than others.

Who has suffered the most catastrophic failure?
King Crimson fell away badly one year and Manchester Saddler completely blew it on the last game to finish second after like, leading for 6 months or something! :D

Who is the biggest prediction league backside?
Depends who you ask. Some may, unkindly, point the finger in my direction.

I didn't include the prediction week you posted via PM to Bart, adding the 2 points the week later, the column still reads 2 games missed, so I'll change that in the next table. You're not missing any points.

No. If only I was so calculating, I would have won the whole thing many times over by now! However, if anyone is in any doubt, week 33 had long disappeared by the time I took it on and week 34 was started by Flemish Saddler (still presiding) and contentious late week 35 by Aldridge Saddler......all still available to see in slightly off topic if I'm not to be trusted.

:D
