Plymouth Argyle (A) League 1 Saturday 09/04/11
I think this is an must-win. The time for drawing at teams around us is over - if we realistically want to stay up - then this must be a win. Thoughts?
What a massive game.

A game we simply have to win , with three home games to follow this is our chance .

He's too busy splitting wood and leaning to one side to write up a form guide.

Re: Plymouth Argyle v. Walsall (A) 09/04/11
Plymouth's form guide last 6 league games.
Sheff Wed - away - won 4-2
Swindon - home - won 1-0
Hartlepool- away - lost 0-2
Carlisle - away - drew 1-1
Rochdale - home -lost 0-1
Orient - away - lost 0-2
Argyle are 11 points from safety with 7 games to play full home record
won 7 - drew 4 - lost 8 - goals for 22 - against 26 .
Prediction:
After recent results I'm very tempted to say a draw would no be to bad for us , but away win would almost certainly mean relegation for the Pilgrims .
Plymouth 1-2 Walsall
Remaining Fixtures
Peterborough - away
Dagenham -away
M K Dons - home
Exeter - away
Southampton - home
Orient - home.

I don't think this is a must win game, I think the next three home games are much more so.
I'd be very very happy with 3 points though!

Heart says 2-1 to us.
Head says 1-1.
Defeat for them will pretty much be curtains as far as their League One status goes. Hopefully their desperation for a win will work to our advantage.

Realistic, methinks...to them this is most certainly a 'must win' game, Peter Ried is no slouch when it comes to advising his sides to be 'agressive'
I believe we will be steam rollered early on, with Sheffs two goals going in within 30 minutes, after that we will 'run' the game, huff and puff, but to no avail..then the home matches WILL be vital (including unbeatable Brighton!)
If I was in the remotest religious, the prayer mats would be out! Dont like relegation, that last match against Rotherham
when we went down by ONE goal was a deffinite low point!
Maybe, but he has been no slouch when it has come to getting his teams to lose over his career either (as a manager)

Seem abit lightweight upfront could have done with Macken rather than Byfield imho but Smith hasnt made too many mistakes so I trust his decision.

Definitely a 4-5-1 though, which Ledesma excels at.

Agreed, 4-3-3 when attacking, 4-5-1 without the ball, Ledesma certainly looks a player when he's wide right.

Re: Plymouth Argyle (A) League 1 Saturday 09/04/11
Think this is a must not lose match, a draw is not the end of it and of course it depends on how other teams around the drop zone get on.
