Curiously enough, the whole of Rochdale is grouped under the Oldham postcode - all addresses in Rochdale have postcodes that start with "OL"
Some people would say that Oldham association is even worse than Manchester.........

2-1 to the mighty reds.
Richards and Price.

Re: Rochdale (H) League 1 Saturday 26/2/11.
Just watched two sets of highlights on the Beeb.
One showed a bunch of blokes in Walsall kits playing glorious football and running riot against the Daggers (cannot believe we only scored one goal in that game).
The second showed a bunch of blokes in Walsall kits trying their utmost to give the ball to Colchester, or simply saving them the bother by trying to score in their own net.
If the first set of blokes come out on Saturday I agree with the 7-0 predictions. In fact, make it 8-0 (Nicholls & Macken hat-tricks, Taundry 2).
If the second lot come back from Essex, however, we'll be lucky to get away with 0-3. In FACT, if we're gonna play like that the rest of the season we'd better hope the administrators are gonna be calling in to Bristol, Swindon and Dagenham on their way back from Plymouth.

If we get a midfielder in to the club who will complement Richards and not go AWOL meaning Richards has to do the job of two midfielders then I feel we will win this game quite easily 4-0 but if we have to rely on Taundry or Marshall I can see us struggling to pick up a point.

Richards can't get left on his own in the middle again like sat which is what i can see happening hopefully Rochdale don't play to there best and Macken finds his scoring boots he just needs one goal and he'll be flying fingers crossed i,m going 2 nil us Macken brace.

I think this will be a real toughie, had a look at Rochdale's stats on the BBC.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... efault.stm
Their recent away form is L W W W D D, and they haven't lost for 10 games. If we win, it will be by a single goal.

Re: Rochdale (H) League 1 Saturday 26/2/11.
This may sound odd but I would look to ensure we don't lose this game with a 4-5-1 formation, not a negative setup as I like to attack but this is a tough game so after the loss at Colchester we need that momentum back.
Reasoning is based on not having a replacement for Gill, the Plymouth situation plus Rochdales stats means we need a point at least
With Geddes and Bowerman gone on loan, Gill back to Norwich, Byfield possibly in the frame for a slot on the bench I woud set us up to be tight
So with what we have in the squad TODAY it would be
Walker
Westlake
Butler
Lancashire
Lescott
Nicholls
Taundry
Richards
Williams
Gray
Macken
A bench of:Price/Grigg/Smith/MacDonald/Byfield/Bevan/Patterson
But I guesss we will be 4-4-2 :D

Matt Cardle has never sang a song called "Many Of Horror". Get your facts right before you start with your cheap jibes.

No Macken or Argentinia . :(
Williams in for Westlake ( Lescott switching to RB?)
Price in for Macken
Taundry in middle , Nicholls on right and Grigg up front.
Byfield makes the bench

Rochdale (H) League 1 Saturday 26/2/11.
Rochdale offered very little, but Grigg and Price don't seem to have a goal in them.
Gray looks like the best player on the pitch by a mile. Williams after a shaky start is doing ok. Butler and Lancashire effective. Richards likewise. Taundry, Nicholls and Lescott putting in typical performances.

Paterson on for Grigg.
If you're going to bring him on ahead of Byfield that surely says Byfield can't be fit enough to play football properly yet so why put him on the bench at all? :?
EDIT: He's just brought him on for Price so obviously must be okay to play in the end! :)

One goal in four games is a bit worrying but as Rochdale have only lost once in 15 matches, it isn't a bad point. March is going to be massive.
