can't wait to see the goals - I'm reliably informed (ahem - through the BBC text website  ) that 5 of the goals are from outside of the area. Highlights are a 35 yarder from Richards and a strike into the top corner from Butler!!!!!!!!!

Paterson on for Macken with around 15 minutes left. How nice to have a Manager who makes sensible substitutions - we're 6-1 up, so let the boys have a play. Deep joy.

4 points from 2 games - better, much better.
Finally the results are beginning to match performances.

Good lord, what a sad lot you two are. You really need to get a life perhaps?
I was doing some research as to who was in charge the last time Walsall hit 6 or more.
Its an amazing FACT!
Am absolutely astonished on todays current result. Who could not be happy with the team and manager at this time?!?!?

Is Brain playing in goal for them then?
When WAS the last time we scored 4 goals? I think I would have to search thru the archives...1970's perhaps?
Don't search through the archives for our last 4 goal score - re-research for 6

Chap covering the game for the Beeb's Final Score was very impressed. "Fans hugging each other in disbelief". First time we've ever scored 6 in the league at the Bonks's's. Looking forward to the reports and inevitable troll tennis.

What rubbish! Can't keep a clean sheet and we had 17 minutes, SEVENTEEN MINUTES, at the end and couldn't score another goal.

Fantastic result!
No-one played bad, evenryone chipped in to get these 6 goals. It could easily have been 8 but i'm not going to be greedy! :D
Butler deserved MOTM, quality peformance again and he was rewarded with 2 goals, was also impressed with Price, when avaliable he flicked the ball on or spreaded it to another player, should have scored that one-on-one at the start though. Bascially every player on our side was quality today, worst player was probably Bevan who I think is not good enough but I can life with him if we carry on peforming like that.

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 29/1/11.
Today was a good day. :-D
Everyone played well, and we could have easily had another 3 or 4. Too many good performances to mention, but Nicholls and Gray had the best games I think I've ever seen from them. All our midfield four scored, but I thought Macken and Price were immense today, caused Rovers all sorts of problems and were unfortunate not to be on the scoresheet.
If we keep playing like this we've at least got a chance.

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 29/1/11.
In the first 3 minutes, that new boy Price had a golden one-on-one... and missed it. At that point I thought it was going to be one of those days again. Only bad player was indeed Price, don't rate him at all. Hell, even Lescott put in a shift!
MOTM was indeed Butler, every single header (and indeed his partner in CB) he fought for, he won or at least got a touch on it. Nicholls was marvellous and so was Gill. Completely controlled the game. Fantastic result. Also sold a record 17 50/50 tickets 8)
