Tranmere Rovers (A) League 1 Saturday 8/1/11.
Once again we find ourselves rock bottom of the table as we travel to face a Tranmere side who sit 5 points above us just out side the drop zone .
A look at our hosts form guide last 6 league games.
Plymouth - home - won 1-0
Notts County - away -won 1-0
Hartlepool - home - lost 0-1
Orient - home - lost 1-2
Rochdale - away - lost 2-3
Carlisle - home -won 2-1
Full home record.
3 wins - 2 draws - 5 defeats - 10 goals for 15 against .
Prediction :
Home win ,more pathetic excuses from Hutchings .

I'd have gone to this anyway - would be daft to go to places like Dagenham and then miss one on my doorstep - but now I have a twinge of anticipation. We beat these at their place just after we sacked Merson, a beer-soaked 2-1. So I'm going for the same score but with less beer as junior T will be there to remind everyone that Tranmere aren't proper scousers.

Remember that one PT, a fine Friday night. What is it about Friday night matches that means they always involve huge quantities of ale? Was it Broadhurst's first match? Remember plenty of 'we've got our walsall back' songs and a few of Scott Dann's mates being in the away end. Hopefully a repeat tomorrow, though I don't suppose Scott Dann's mates will be in the away end

Quite right about Friday nights. I take it you were at Wigan when Jorge got the last minute equaliser? Blimey that was a blurry night. And I recall a Friday night at Southend (1-1 I think - Shakey scored) when even the fans travelling by coach were steaming. Then there was a Friday at the Albion when Darren Wrack's early miss was probably due to him warming up at our end and breathing in the fumes. There's definitely a pattern here.

Well, at least we know we'll have a goalkeeper who should be moving heaven and earth to try and keep his place....... he's waited long enough for his chance as first-choice keeper!!

Strange really, Bevan didnt get a look in under Hutch, then as soon as he's gone, Smith brings him in straight away :?:

I'd be ecstatic with a really dull 1-0 away win, smash-and-grab style.
